    • Thank you. Would have preferred to paint it but that's not in the book's right now so we will try to make the best of what's there.
    • If nobody chimes in around here, have you looked at Hemmings Motor News or the Bring-A-Trailer web site? Rick
    • No matter how you decide to finish this, it looks good to me! Rick
    • Well that’s weird. I went to jump in Black Beauty early Saturday morning to head for the West Michigan tour. I hit the key and click. Not a sound. The Battery Tender showed green. Hmmmm. Then I noticed that the rear hatch was left open. So I figured it left a light on and killed the battery.    since I was short on time I jumped in the Roadmonster and moved all my bags into it. I closed everything up in BB and hooked up the Battery Tender again and took off for the weekend. I got home tonight and checked on BB. Again the Battery Tender showed green. I hit the key and click. Not a sound. Damn! So I figured at this point I have a dead cell. I will take it out and have it benched tested his week. However, it isn’t even three years old. This is the shortest life of an Optima I’ve ever had. These are not cheap batteries.
    • Hello,    My biggest worry of yesterday was completely unnecessary.  The headers fit and easily clear the steering box on the driver's side without any big hammer persuasion.  The mockup engine is in straight and level with plenty of clearance for the headers and I now have the luxury of considering if I will install some header heat insulation tape wrap.   Rick P.S - Yes, that head has a big chunk of aluminum missing out of the side of it.  That is not an optical illusion.  I bought the engine that head came on out of a wrecked Yukon and the damaged sheet metal appeared to have missed hitting the head by at least three inches.  I think I got that wrong but the junk yard gave me another 862 head for free.
