Welcome to Forever Pontiac. As with any old car, parts are going to be an issue. From body to suspension and drivetrain, they don't make many parts anymore. Groups like FP are good as members might know a starting point to look for what you need or may have a PARTS car that they might SHARE. Most times you will be repairing old stock parts. My Dad had an early 50's with the bubble rear 1/4's and he did have the fender skirts. -
Hi, I've just joined Forever Pontiac. I've always wanted a 1949-51 Streamliner. I've found one I like, but it does not have fender skirts. I believe it is a Deluxe two door fastback. Were fender skirts standard or was it an extra cost option when new? Any advice, recommendations, and thoughts as to the various pluses and minuses of the various years 49-51 would be welcome, as well as what to watch for when looking at a car for sale. Thank you all in advance!
