Sweet fucking Odin, what a beefy torque curve.

Ever get a song stuck in your head for months? Yeah...

The LS1 is rated at 385HP stock...so that cam certainly must be aggressive.

I drive six miles a day going back and forth from the dealership to my apartment. (One mile each way, I go home for my lunch breaks ) FUEL LASTS ME ALMOST A MONTH. WHAT NOW.

I reached out for help on this, hopefully she'll post here soon.

Expect the media to play their usual strawmen tactics on why US troops abandoned these contractors. http://www.wnd.com/2014/06/200-u-s-contractors-surrounded-by-jihadists-in-iraq/#dppKLvcWutASedbO.99

Mark had a GT. Erik had a red GTP coupe before getting his silver GTO. GTPs came with the LZ9, the 3.9L OHV V6.
-
The LY7 has a similar sound to the likes of the VQ35, ESPECIALLY with the Magnaflow setups. The FM80 I'd never recommend for a DOHC V6, only the LX9, LZ4, LZ9 and LA1 60*V6 engines which are pushrod (OHV). Plus, straight piping it...say bye bye to all your bottom end torque, the car would feel sluggish under hard acceleration in low RPMs. It's not boosted, back pressure is your friend.

Worth the read, for a better view on why this conflict erupted. http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2014/06/12/hold_your_horses_iraq_is_not_about_to_fall_yet_isis_mosul_tikrit

Whoa, whoa. Two different engines there Jimmy. Mark had a G6GT. Had the LX9 or LZ4, I forget...but they have a WAY different sound than the LY7. Plus, I recommended him the Flowmaster 80.

Don't "straight pipe" it. It's a street car. With that said, the LY7 sounds boss with a Magnaflow setup. It's a DOHC V6, they have a distinct sound to them, and the right exhaust setup can give them an almost exotic sound to it.

Cody! Can't remember the last time I saw you on here. GAH, that reminds me, I need to find you on FB again. Fuckerburg nuked my original account for reasons unknown.

Car looks good. 3rd gen Eclipses are the POSs. 4th gens aren't so bad, outside of their weight. They aren't very troublesome and have a decent aftermarket. I will say this, nab yourself a 6G38 powered Eclipse with the manual. They're fun for what they are, most aren't abused. I work at a Mitsubishi dealership. I know.

Things have been extremely hazardous in the country of Iraq these past two days...basically an Islamic militia, ISIS, started steamrolling through Iraq from the North towards Baghdad at a furious rate. Within two days they were at Iraq's capital doorstep. Today, things have gotten worse, a lot of the US media sources are behind on real time happenings or just have wrong info. I have some friends that have been watching twitter light up like a raging forest fire with real time videos, photos and updates from civilians, ISIS troops and Iraqi troops on what is going on in real time. Basically the Kurds have started taking territory from the North and are working their way into the country, fighting BOTH ISIS and Iraqi forces. Iran has sent in 600-2,000 of their own troops to suppress ISIS. Obama spoke today about the conflict, but other than bring in air support and help shell ISIS in Baghdad and surrounding areas. Things are escalating more and more, all the while Russia is pushing into Ukraine again amongst this chaos. Articles: http://online.wsj.com/articles/iraqi-leaders-urged-to-unite-to-push-insurgents-out-of-mosul-1402488724 http://online.wsj.com/articles/iraqi-drama-catches-u-s-off-guard-1402529874 This is seriously fucking bad, let alone all the US supplied vehicles, hardware, weapons and money ISIS has captured along the way. Edit: more on Iran sending troops in http://online.wsj.com/articles/iran-deploys-forces-to-fight-al-qaeda-inspired-militants-in-iraq-iranian-security-sources-1402592470 Edit #2: more on ISIS http://washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2014/06/12/isis-just-stole-425-million-and-became-the-worlds-richest-terrorist-group/

It's $115 for a new filler neck (my cost) but I'm worried about all the other hoses fall apart once it's taken out. -

Take away the stupid hood scoop and that is SEXXXXXXXXX. I'd rock the fuck out of that. But with a 400HP boosted AWD six speed drivetrain? Are we sure this is still GM we're talking about here? -
That's a first, I nominated a winner!

Oil changes for the Accord and Galant are done. Accord gets 5W-20 full synthetic Castrol while the Galant gets 5W-30 synthetic blend high mileage Valvoline. Both got OEM filters. The Galant is showing rust issues from harsh Long Island salt treatments. The filler neck is rusting bad, but no leaks or EVAP codes. Luckily the actual filler neck piece is still available from Mitsu.
