  1. I'm happy to hear FP is growing and I look forward to what lies ahead! πŸ˜ƒ As a nod to @notallthere 's signature as well as referencing the OP -
  2. Hello! Beautiful GTO - I love the color! πŸ˜ƒ. Don't take anything from anyone about having a "Garage Queen" - nothing wrong with it! (my Grand Prix is my "GQ" so I'm right there with ya) 😁 So... do share... πŸ˜ƒ
  3. Awesome, thank you @Last Indian! Looking forward to when you have availability to post more!
  4. Thanks, @Last Indian! Very nice of you and much appreciated!
  5. Hey @Last Indian - beautiful work! I had a '99 GT so your car really brings back the memories πŸ™‚ (don't get me wrong, the work I did on my '99 pales, at best, in comparison to what you've done to your '00). I have been interested for some time on doing a battery re-location to the spare tire well on my GP and I'm curious if you have any (more) pictures regarding this particular modification. I'm guessing you would have used 3/0 for the runs from the under hood fuse relay center to the battery in the trunk? I have many more questions on how you did this but I don't want to dump them all on you at once. Thanks for any input you are willing to provide on how you did this - it's appreciated πŸ™‚
  6. Be-au-ti-ful! 🀩 Out of all the lines Pontiac built, the Bonnie's and Grand Prix's have always held a special spot in my heart (my first car was a Bonnie).
  7. I've briefly mentioned that my wife's daily driver ("Bleen" / '05 GP GT2 Series 3 L26 with north of 262k) may be nearing the end of the road so we've been discussing replacement vehicles. Since my wife is a fan of something with sliding doors (i.e. minivan) I've been doing my research and it appeared that a Honda Odyssey was the way to go. However, after continued research, it appears that the Odyssey's are know, certain model years more than others, to really burn the oil (so much so that Honda USA has a class action lawsuit against them about this issue). My question is, does anyone here have experience with the Odysseys? Thoughts? Comments? Concerns? Praises? Because I'm a Ford / (former, pre-2009) GM person, I don't have a lot of experience with Honda. The alternative I'm looking at is a Toyota Sienna which, per research, appears to have many fewer issues as compared to the Odyssey. I don't want to go any older than the 2015 MY's (give or take) so that rules out GM and Ford as they haven't made a minivan in the last several years (and don't even get me started on the GM Uplander/Terazza/Relay/Montana SV6 generations... unless it's that Montana SV6 where the guy dropped in the LS4... now THAT would peak my attention!). When I was a developer for Chrysler and I saw the state they shipped a lot of their new vehicles in therefore I've sworn off owning a Chrysler product so that's why I'm looking at the foreign market for minivans.
  8. And the expansion pack Yes, I do have a sick and very twisted sense of humor (which is why I love this game).
  9. So very sorry to hear! You are a much better person than I am to weather all that... I quite literally cannot even imagine. On a brighter note, if you're ever up for a road trip either with or without Raven, us car people in mid / south-east Michigan (and some beyond) already have Back to the Bricks & Woodward Dream Cruise on our calendars for this coming August - just sayin' πŸ˜‰
  10. How she looks as of today... yay winter πŸ˜‘ - although, worth it to protect her from the salt.
  11. For my wife's daily driver (Bleen / '05 Grand Prix), and this is nothing fancy by any means, it would have to be the satisfaction of, so far, clearing over 262,000 miles on the original L26 (N/A 3.8L). Bleen has been a solid car. Sadly, however, 2019 was a repair-intensive year for Bleen (cost of reliability is proportional to age, at least for a daily driver) such that 2019 alone saw a total repair bill of the value of the car (and these are not novice to mid-experience-level repairs I speak of). That said, I fear 2019 may be the last year she sleeps in our garage (although I secretly hope I can hold onto Bleen as a parts car for Ren - maybe pull the L26 for, if nothing else, just for the fun of it. I've always wanted a 3800 as decoration - yeah, I'm weird). For my show car (Ren / '05 Grand Prix), there are many fond memories of, among other things, cruising Woodward and Saginaw St. for the Dream Cruise and Back to the Bricks, respectively. Going on drives around the lakes in my area (and enjoying my suspension work as I take the curves in the road) is also something I enjoy during the warm months. Also, and this may seem strange to others, I enjoy my fall and spring details of Ren (I'll spend around 40 hrs. detailing her). Auto detailing is something I enjoy - especially when I see the end result and the mirror-like finish. Lastly, and by no means lest, I enjoy taking Ren to, especially, smaller car shows in my area. I've been to (way) bigger shows but the closeness of those attending the smaller shows is something I have especially enjoyed (like two years ago when a friend - who was driving - and I were pulled over for going over 85 mph. in a 55 mph. zone in a pastor's Corvette - and being let go with only a warning - during one of the a fore mentioned smaller shows 😁 😯).
  12. Huh. Didn't realize someone of his magnitude lived in, of all places, Lapeer (I lived there for over 27 yrs.). Interesting timing because I'm going to be to Muir Brother's (Lapeer) Thursday for a funeral myself. Also, the above link didn't didn't work for me - this one, however, did https://www.lynchandsonslapeer.com/obituaries/Paul-Deesen-Sr?obId=10254592#/obituaryInfo Hrm. The plot thickens. Reading more, turns out he was stationed at the same fort (Knox) as my dad. The small world keeps getting smaller...

    New Dent Decal

Creativity level: 10 Love it 😁
  14. The can of Duplicolor actually reminded me I need to stop by the store and pickup a new can of clear coat 😁
  15. I wonder what trim level the donor Camaro was... based on the picture of the steering wheel (which isn't conclusive), I would guess a ZL1.
  16. This boggles my mind of those who have such large collections (e.g. Jay Leno). Don't get me wrong, that's awesome to have such a collection and more power to whomever does but what really throws me is, with such a large collection, how would you ever enjoy it? There's not enough time to maintain, drive or even know the intimates of each of the vehicles. I understand those who have large collections have teams of people that take care of the vehicles but you get to a point where the vehicles become "things" that you just glance at occasionally and not members of the family (but maybe I'm alone in this avenue of thinking πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ). If you have a 150 kids, good luck having a close relationship with each of them - let alone remembering their names πŸ€ͺ
  17. I'm not a Jeep guy but I like that! I wonder if they've been ostracized from the Jeep crowd...
  18. Does anyone know if the Solstice GXP and Sky Redline suffer from the same issues that the 2.4L (some turbo'd) Ecotec's suffer(ed) from (i.e. oil burning)? The defective 2.4's were manufactured (supposedly) between 2010 and 2017 and Pontiac was wound down right around 2010 but given there may have been some slight overlap in engine manufacturing timing... ... just curious (especially after reading the above article and how it referenced the naturally aspirated Ecotec). Every so often I will point a car out to my wife and say that was be a fun car show car for her to drive and two cars in particular that comes up often is the SSR (which she hates) or the Solstice / Sky (which she's OK with). If the opportunity ever came along to get one of these, I'm curious if I need to specifically stay away from the GXP / Redline trims. https://www.carcomplaints.com/news/2019/gm-oil-consumption-lawsuit.shtml
  19. Are you looking for specific coverage (i.e. a certain procedure) or just the manual in general? I have the GM service guide (on DVD) which covers all GM makes and models from 1980 through 2009. I'm happy to look something up for you but if you're looking to have the manual on-hand then this is where I purchased my DVD copy of the manual from - http://www.drcustomparts.com/RepairManual.htm. Don Rome is the owner / manufacturer of what he sells and have zero complaints about him. Note that on the website I reference above he says the coverage is from 1985 through 2009 but the manual actually does go back to 1980 (coverage in the early 80's, however, is limited).
  20. We're on the same page. I may not have explained things clear enough but rest assured we're on the same page.
