I assumed, incorrectly, that tvs were in centimeters instead of inches in NZ. My bad! So you aren’t totally metric!! I’m constantly getting shit from DualQuad Pete on not being metric here in the US but Canuckistan is. Whatever!

Always happy to help a mate in need Oh and make sure to tell her that nothing less than a 200 cm diagonal will do!

No sympathy on the lack of a TV mate. Any bored man with a Challenger Hellcat simply needs to retreat to the man cave with the keys. Start the car, rev the engine, and if necessary go for a ride in the country side until Shortland Street is over. As Mike Finnigan once said on Roadkill about a revving engine, “that is the music of my people!” Boredom fixed. Of course there is always car porn and online parts shopping! I’ll bet the boss will buy you a new TV JUSTA to prevent you from buying more shit! You’re welcome!

Fitzy - while I agree with you that a large number of American collectibles are in the Lands Down Under, a sad reality is that many cars, mostly stolen, are illegally exported to Northern Europe or the Middle East. A friend of mine owned Dodge Viper #9 (he personally gave Bob Lutz the keys to Viper #1). It was stolen from his summer vacation home in northern lower Michigan. They found the LoJack anti-theft device for the car in a dumpster in Atlanta, and figured it was probably put on a container ship bound for Sweden out of Miami.

Tilt Switches for 46 Glove Box and Trunk

A company named Magnasphere makes a mercury tilt switch alternative. -
Great shots kiwi. I'm not sure that anyone in the US would allow a flame thrower vehicle, much less a jet dragster to fire up on a grassy lawn, simply as a fire hazard, much less actually burn part of it. Someone would sue the organizers if they did, most likely. Still great stuff. Thanks for sharing!

What? You don't like Fred Flintstone style braking? Imagine that! -
Why does that sofa or love seat look like it belongs in an airport? You know the type - the really uncomfortable ones in the boarding area.

1980 Firebird: Old AC - New AC
Frosty replied to Red 80 TA's topic in Pontiac General Discussion/Questions
Two years ago I converted by '86 Trans Am from R12 to R134a. It was expensive (as compared to trying to find R12) but now I can go to my local parts store and recharge the system if I have to. -
Hi performance tubular control arms or,trailing arms are a tad more expensive than stamped steel OEM/OER replacements. However, the resist deflection more because they are stronger units. Shop around. The GP is also on a Catalina/Bonneville chassis, I would be surprised if the control-arms or trailing arms for a 63 Chevy didn’t interchange. Chevy prices are often lower. The cost factor you are dealing with is that this is a full size car and not an A or F body car. Therefore demand for full size performance suspension parts is a lot lower.
