  1. Chip has won the Ridler twice that I know of. He won with the "Impostor" Chevy Impala and the "Grand Master" Chevy Deluxe.
  2. If you’re married, your life, as you once knew it, is definitely over!
  3. I took my wife to a restaurant. The waiter, for some reason, took my order first. "I'll have the rump steak, rare, please." He said, "Aren't you worried about the mad cow?" "Nah, she can order for herself." And that's when the fight started..... I asked my wife, ‘Where do you want to go for our anniversary?’ It warmed my heart to see her face melt in sweet appreciation. ‘Somewhere I haven’t been in a long time!’ she said. So I suggested, ‘How about the kitchen?’ And that’s when the fight started.... When I got home last night, my wife demanded that I take her someplace expensive. So, I took her to a gas station. And that’s when the fight started..... I tried to talk my wife into buying a case of Miller Light for $14.95. Instead, she bought a jar of cold cream for $7.95. I told her the beer would make her look better at night than the cold cream. And that’s when the fight started.... It was a lovely warm sunny summer Sunday so I decided to drive my family to the seaside. After driving for a while the children started getting restless and asked "Where's the beech daddy?". I replied, "She is right beside me in the passenger seat" And that's when the fight started... My husband and I were lying under the bed covers when he touched my back, I said, "that feels great." He continued to touch my leg, I then said, "wow, you know that feels even better." Then all at once he stopped. I asked him, "why did you stop darling?" He replied, "I found the remote." And that’s when the fight started.... It has been raining cats and dogs all week and my husband is really starting to get frustrated and angry. He just keeps standing by the window, staring at us. If this continues, I am going to have to let him in. And that’s when the fight started! The other day my youngest son asked my husband, "Father I heard at school that in parts of Africa a man doesn't know his wife until he marries her, is this true?" My husband looked him square in the eyes and replied, "Son, that happens in every country." And that's when the fight started....
  4. Sorry, this seems like nit picking at it's finest. It's not like there is a competitive advantage here. So how come all driver's helmets aren't plain black or white, instead of painted to match the car or primary sponsor? It's not as delivered either. This is just silly in my opinion.
  5. In case you didn't hear, here is the winner of this year's Ridler Award. I am sure we will see this on a future episode of Bitchin' Rides.
  6. Wedding cake is definitely known food guaranteed to kill a woman's libido. RIngo is good. He won't need them anymore.
  7. The owner is a frequent visitor to the Friday night cruise in that I volunteer for. I am constantly drooling over it.
  8. Signs Don't tell me that Wylie caught the sumbitch?!?! This items were just a small sample of items that were being auctioned off to the public at the Pinstrippers Jam. This is a charity fund raiser.
  9. More neat stuff When was the last time you saw a Chevy Monza look this good. What's interesting is this car was turned in a drag car shortly have it was purchased. These guys turned it back into a pro touring car. The roll cage is still there but very well hidden, along with the fuel cell. Another H-body - a 73 V8 Vega pro touring car. The Mailman Special. This car appear with the Beach Boys in the background of one ot their appearances on the Ed Sullivan Show. This stepvan is owned by Tom Bailey, owner of Sick Magazine, and multiple time winner of Hot Rod Drag Week. Note the hot dog cooker on the passenger side of the dash! This Pontiac Grand Prix is what I would call an ultimate sleeer. Indymanjoe and I saw this car at Roadkill Nights. At first it seems unremarkable until you notice the exist tubes in front of the front tires and the width of the rear tires. Even the interior is bone stock. It's definitely not stock under the hood! A Jared Goff autographed Detroit Lion helmet This car is a '84 Buick LeSabre. My parents had an '85 LeSabre Limited. Their car was a maroon four-door. '85 was the last year for RWD cars assembled at Flint's Buick City Assembly Plant, it got the plush velvet pillow interior from the Park Avenue. After than Buick City switched over to the FWD Buicks and Bonnevilles. One of Bob Fayz's Sh-Booms - this is a '49 Cadillac Sedanette. It also is a flame thrower! Got intake? I think this is the perfect '57 Chevy. Robin's Egg blue, convertible, SBC. Your basic cruiser!
  10. Neat Stuff Real panther pinked I'd say This car was unveiled at SEMA and was in the Battle of the Builders. A homemade Jaguar called "MyType" Never seen a Typhoon like this before Gotta love a lowered Riveria A Richard Petty Monte Carlo - LS Powered Murray Phaff's one of none Imperial Roadster. A stunning car every time I look at it. Now here is an interesting car. Never mind that James Kystra, co-owner of InLine Tube, ows this gorgeous Olds 442 and it is superbly restored. It what is under the hood that is super special. Truly a piece of unobtainuim. The only known Olds 455 Hemi engine. This was an experimental engine and never went into production.
  11. Pontiacs My favorite Pontiac at the show - a blown BBC Lemans They had a tribute to the GTO - 60 years of the GTO A rare '77 Formula I'm a sucker for a V8 Vega, especially a 71-73. This is actually a 75 with a 73 front and rear clip and sheet metal. This wrecker is still owned by the original owner's family. Signs
  12. I have replaced the interior lights with LEDs for the dash gauges. I have LEDs for the rear tail lights too. Kiwi is correct, you need to get one or two new flasher units that can manage LEDs and incandescent bulbs. They are around $15 US around here. Basically you replace your old flasher unit and emergency flasher unit with the new ones and you are good to go.
  13. Makes you wonder 1. How bad was it? 2. What possessed him to cut it up?
  14. I still got more to post, My knee was screaming at me after 4 continuous hours on my feet. My leg and back ached the rest of the day. It was totally worth it!
  15. I have more photos to post guys, I JUSTA ran out of time this afternoon to upload photos. Stay tuned.
  16. The 50 Millionth GM Tribute Car Well the mystery surround the gold 50 millionth car seems to be over. From what the display says, there were 3 gold cars but only car #1 was treats to all the gold treatment in and out. The other 2 cars had gold exteriors but there are visible differences wtih these 2 cars over the first car. As you can see, the original gold car was destroyed in a fire in 1996. This is the original door to car #1 after the fire. Some of the other parts from the original car is behind it. Original news paper and GM memorabilia from the 50M car. This was a GM wide celebration at the time, so virtually every GM division did something to celebrate. There were several plant open houses, parades, etc. The biggest celebration was in Flint, Michigan, which was home to several GM divisions at the time, as well as the Chevy assembly plant that built the cars. This is from the Flint Journal, our local newspaper at the time. Hamady Brothers was a local grocery store chain. It went out of business in 1991. The parade route through Flint plus all the GM locations in the Flint area. Citizens Bank was the last Michigan owned/operated bank in the state of Michigan. It was taken over by First Merit in 2006 but after the financial crisis of 2008-2009, First Merit was purchased by Huntington Banks.
  17. Station Wagons There was a surprising number of station wagons this year, especially in the Rat Rod/Extreme display area in the basement. This Ventura wagon is fresh off of Sick Week, a week-long drag and drive in Florida. It is similar to Hot Rod's Drag Week format but it is all within the state of Florida in February. Tom Bailey, from Orion Michigan, is the organizer and owner of Sick Magazine, the primary sponsor of Sick Week. '57 Nomad A 454-powered Chevell SS wagon. Nice. Olds Vista Cruiser A Pontiac Star Chief wagon! Sweet!
  18. Lead sleds This Oldsmoble's paint job was at least inspire by Gene Winfield. Not sure if Gene did this car or not, but it was clearly because of Gene. Low Riders
  19. Evel Knievel - probably the biggest, most famous stunt man in history. Let's start with his drag car. A kids trike Motor cycle and suit worn by Evel's son, who followed in his dad's footsteps, Captain Robbie Knievel. The Sky Cycle - a jet powered trike. Evel's most famous stunt and his biggest failure. His jet powered jump attempt over the Snake River Canyon, near Twin Falls Idaho. His parachute deployed right after launch and prevented him from successfully crossing the river. It was probably the biggest TV event of the 1970s.
  20. Na na na na na na na na na Batman! Want your own Batphone? Ah Batgirl! '66 Batman = while this is not the original Barris created car from the Lincoln Futura concept car, this is a faith recreation. 1989 Batman 1992 Batman Returns 2005 Batman Begins 2017 Justice League Bat Cycles from 1966. Notice how the side car is also it's own go-kart?
  21. Okay - I took so many pictures, I'm doing this in sections, starting with the Great 8/Ridler contenders. This last custom built '53 Corvette is from Kindigit Design (a.k.a Dave Kindig) of "Bitchin' Rides" fame. Dave and Kev Dogg were there. So I suspect we will see the build of this car in a future episode(s) of the show. I did get to chat with both of them. In fact while I was talking to Dave, Kev called him (it comes up Kev Dogg on Dave's cell = LOL!), Kev was 10 feet behind him!
  22. The Batman display was great. Batgirl was better. Need I say more? Now you know where I was.
  23. I just picked up the Ubly Dragway 2024 race schedule at Autorama yesterday. Thought you'd wanna know.
