  1. Well it has been a interesting couple of days in the world of me trying to buy a new car. I wouldn't have thought trying to buy a new car like this would be this hard but it has turned out to be kinda a nightmare. The sales guy that took my order, was alright before I made the order but afterwards he took forever to respond to anything one only took like 2 or 3 days, than about 9 business days. Than he didn't respond to me at all for 2wks and I couldn't reach him on the phone. I only emailed him 3 times after I placed the order with him mind you in 13 weeks. I used some simple logic to figure out my salesman managers email address and I emailed him. The next morning the business manager called me up to explain the situation and what not, than I got a email from the guy that I sent the email to. It would be at a min. another 6wks and could easily take alot longer. so I canceled the order with them. They had been trying to find me a car that matched exactly my order from other dealers also apparently. So I told them what I would take besides my order. A dealer is getting in a STi hatch like mine but w/o nav and the dealer said that if it doesn't get sold before it gets their they would do a dealer trade for it. This is all within the last 2 days also. So yeah if they don't come up with the STi, Than I am going to get a evo that is on the lot at a different dealer. The evo is only a grand more than I would have paid for the STi, so its not that bad at all. I am just really ready to get a new car already.
  2. Honestly no idea But probably not. He has had it since I was like 2 so I never really paid much attention to it. My dad has had tons of cars over the years that were cool. Most of them before I ever paid attention to cars or before I was born.
  3. I don't have any pics but I believe it is red. It was just a preproduction mule, that he got when he owned a Chevy dealership. He had two of them the one my brother beat it into the ground lol.
  4. Those are some of the cars my dad still owns, I was not kidding when I said he has a ton of cars. He also has a old 50's ford station wagon, a 71 monte carlo big block, 40 ford business coupe, 66 T-Bird, 64 Grand Prix, Prototype Lumina Z34 5SPD.
  5. My dad already has a thousand cars he doesnt drive at all really. The fiero was pretty cheap and he thought I might enjoy it so yeah I now have the two pontiac models that were two seaters.
  6. Yeah I saw your thread for it, Good luck with it. He says both of them are in amazing shape.
  7. He also bought this today. />http://www.gaaclassiccars.com/index.php/available-cars/350-1953-chevrolet-truck
  8. Well my dad is always buying random stuff here and there. He went down south this week so he could goto a classic car auction. I was not with him but apparently he couldn't pass up this car today. Its not a GT like its says in the description though. Should be kinda fun to drive around it has a smaller wheelbase than my solstice. Its a kinda random thing for him to buy but it looks pretty nice and something else to drive around. At least it is a 5spd and it doesn't have horrible mileage on it 88k. />http://www.gaaclassiccars.com/index.php/available-cars/235-1985-pontiac-fiero# 4093e4d9eb3ed6a59375ceb4ad64ddc2 by zerosnipe, on Flickr 398d7689f776e755c9f3186bc10137bc by zerosnipe, on Flickr f7df9e01e3a5abfeaeff3ccf1f4ef474 by zerosnipe, on Flickr be9058f7edc23320f19c34d59774e824 by zerosnipe, on Flickr baff2216b1f585c72b8d0480128ca175 by zerosnipe, on Flickr
  9. Spent way to long detailing my solstice today. I went all out on it pretty much though lol. Also I think it needs mud flaps, wow have the stones/rocks destroyed my one rocker panel in just 3k miles lol. On all the sides they were kinda messed up but my Flex with some light cutting pads and some light cutting polish cleaned them up pretty good except for the one side has a couple of actual chips in it. Overall its not horrible with any deeps scratches just a couple of minor chips here and there. We have lots of road work, combined with tons of heavy truck traffic makes it hard to not get stuff thrown at your car all the time. I am also inspecting it very closely, I missed all of the stone chip damage on first inspection took me getting on my hands and knees to see the damage. Just kinda sucks seeing small stuff on it, since I baby it. 10. I do too lol, the only thing I am not looking forward to is the gas milage, but thats semantics.
  11. Welcome! I have had my g6 for almost 7 years now. My 2.0L 4 cylinder solstice is faster than my 3.9L V6 G6 lol. my next car is going to be faster than my g6 and thats a 4 cylinder also. That is if it ever comes in, I have been waiting 10 wks for the damn thing lol.
  12. It has been about 3 years or so since my g6 is my only dding car. Last year I drove mostly my Benz and the 2 years before that I drove my BMW for as long as I could before winter.
  13. Pretty impressed with how it looks considering I didn't take all that much time to do it at all. I used Gtechniq C 1.5 Silo Seal on it. Untitled by zerosnipe, on Flickr Untitled by zerosnipe, on Flickr
  14. I get to drive all sorts of random cars around and being a gm factory sale location means we have a good bit of gm's. we also have trashed repo's and a little bit of everything.
  15. The 2013's have some nice touches compared to the 12's. the shifter is smaller and fits in my hand better, gauges are a little easier to see, and the unlock/lock button is on the door. I got to drive a new ZL1 today.
  16. I would keep the avalanche def. also but if wifey aint happy no one is happy. You don't keep a jumpbox or jumpercables in your cars, I have a combo of both. If I am at work I would just use a jump truck though most likely, I have jumped more cars before than I care to imagine though.
  17. Yeah sounds like your kinda out of luck lol. I wouldn't care about daily driving a camaro or a traverse. Than again I ordered a car that a few people think are ugly and it gets kinda horrible gas milage. It is a practical car that is also unpractical in the same regards. As long as the wife's happy nobody else matters heh heh.
  18. If you find the right car you won't get sick of it so easily. I got sick of my Mercedes, didn't get sick of my BMW just had to sell that to get my C300. My g6 is 6 years and 9 months and about 22 days.
  19. They are nice cars for sure, I don't like how far down the h/u is though you have to really look down at it. The u-connect is pretty easy to use though nice interface. Do they come with heated and cooled cup holders also as a option?
  20. I drove a 05 prius this week with 299,999 miles I have the picture on my phone lol.
  21. For the time being I only own my g6 and solstice.
  22. It would be pretty cool though, I haven't seen a ST yet either. I would be interested in seeing it and driving it but for about the same price point there was the WRX, I had seen them and driven plenty of them to know I would love it and AWD was a big plus. Then I decided hell I might as well go all in. The reviews all praise the ST for the most part, the fiesta ST should interesting also.
