Almost could have lost the G6... Phew!

Recommended Posts

So, I was on my way back from a GM Eternal Meet (SoCal GM Club) and I was driving down the I-405 and I'm going about 75 (65 speed limit) and I was passing most cars then I came up on a G35 and we were toying with each other, speeding up to about 90 and letting off. We did about 3 or 4 of those little spurts. It was fun and then we both just started cruising again and just in time too. We were about 500' behind a Highway Patrol car who was closely following a Nissan Morano. I was watching him closely and making sure I didn't go over 70 till he was gone. Low and behold he flips his lights on and pulls over the Morano. About 5 miles down the freeway, the G35 and I started up the playing around again.

We were in the far left lane, not the carpool lane, and we took off I hit the limiter and he was right in front of me. As we were flying down the, now I-5, highway we passed a 02-ish Camaro and so he decided to join us. So the 3 of us are going about 105-ish and we all pass by 2 Highway Patrol cars on the side and both flip their lights on and take off. I'm thinking GREAT there goes the G8 money... Well, the Camaro slams on his brakes and jumps back into the carpool lane and the G35 jumps all the way to the far right lane to try and exit, I followed the G35. I look back to see where the cops were and I couldn't see them all of a sudden they were right next to me with their lights on and so I slowed down REALLY fast and the one next to me pulls in front of me and behind the G35 and pulls him off the next ramp. So, where is the other cop? While the G35 was being pulled over the other cop was pulling over the Camaro off the freeway on the next exit after the G35 one.

I kept driving. Nothing but a HUGE scaring and I was going 68-70 the rest of the way home. Man am I lucky!

BTW this has been the first time in the last like 7 or 8 months that I have reached 100. I usually don't go past 90.

Moral of the story, DON'T SPEED!

Don't know... Oh, well. I'm safe at home now.

3 speeders + 2 cops = one guy either gets lucky OR gets a ticket in the mail. :dancingpontiac:

So you may not be off the hook keep any eye out for the mail man. :D

Thats something the MA state police would do or some local town cops. :P

There's no way you'll get a ticket unless they actually ran your plates.

Since they were focused on the G35 and the 'Maro, you're fine. The cops probably asked the two who you were, but got nowhere.

Damn you got lucky Mark!! Good thing it was a G35 and a Camaro, the cops were like that man has suffered enough with the loss of Pontiac he doesn't need a ticket!

Agreed on the  though

They laughed at the Pontiac going 100 and decided his life sucked enough that he was driving Pontiac so they didn't give you the ticket.
