Say what????  Was this your decision or your wife's?

Hmm...does this mean there is an Aztek in your future?

I'm over at the old place. 3 vehicles there, the Parisienne, the Blood Bath jeep, and my daughter's smashed Sentra. She finally got the parts so I've been putting it back together over the last couple of weekends. She had a girlfriend over who's supposedly taking mechanics classes, and is interested in maybe taking the jeep as a school project. Well, the Jeep started easily after not moving in 2 years. And she's got a cousin who's a welder who might be able to do and certify the frame repairs. So that's going well, the Sentra steel is almost all happy, replaced the condenser, rad and fan. Filled the rad and fired it up. LOUD. I worried that the exhaust manifold had been damaged, but it was only the exhaust flex joint had burst.  But then as the car was coming up to temp, I noticed the upper rad hose was leaking at both ends. Nuts. I guess the hose ends are hard. Shut it down before I can see the fans start ... but at least I know the water pump is still working.  so we're standing around when a car going past slows up and pulls over. i figure it's just another gear head on the street noticing that the cars are getting attention.

Close. It's a guy that bought a place on the next street over, has a green .... Volare? I think in front.  Turns out he has a shop in Montreal .... and he's got a '84 in need of a rear quarter. And his buddy is interested in in the powertrain. Is it for sale? Well ... I'd been kicking around this thought for a while, but never made any real decisions. Putting it through inspection would be a pain, but she would pass ... but I'd only really bought it  as a stop gap to getting the wagon. I throw out a number I think is low enough to not be insulting to a knowledgeable gear head, but high enough to get him to suggest he'll think about it and probably  decide no. .... $700. He'll be there next saturday with a truck to take it, thanks.. Wait, what? Shit ... That wasn't supposed to happen. Well ... 2010 I paid $1500 for it, with a second set of tires. $700 really isn't leaving any meat on that bone ...

And it looks like the Jeep will probably leave too.  Won't make anything on that, and I'll probably wind up covering the tow, but it'll be good to have the space back.
