Holy shitfuck, this one guy in this thread is a raging faggot. It went from myself and others owning him with logic and facts, to just outright trolling him. The dude is locoman99. Laugh at him. Laugh good. Yes, I'm drunk, eat me. Om nom nom nom.

Loco's man crush on me is annoying. He'll try and play passive-aggressive with me in EVERY FORDing THREAD I POST IN.

him and Zuki are man crushing hard on you.

as for the thread does the kid think he has some high horsepower drag car or something.

So forgive me but something that you said......If you don't have an OEM style cat, you'll be stuck with the P0420 code on.

My buddy Rob took the OEM cat off his van and put on a Flowmaster free flowing car and it does not throw this code and it has been over a year since we swapped it.

Did we just get lucky then?

"And a little fyi. The railroads are by far the most fuel friendly mode of land transport..per ton/mile rail cost just 3 cents on the dollar vs. Truck"

Does he realize that getting a large freight train up to speed uses a ridiculous amount of fuel?

The reason why trains get such good "Gas Millage" is because their momentum is enormous.

Remember, it's a Grand Am forum, I mean that towards the platform.

What kind of van is it? GMs are known for throwing codes with catalytic converter changes.

Now you're seeing the stupidity of this retard. Hard to believe he's in his 40's, huh?

Pontiac Montana

Well shit, you are lucky.

Funny stuff. A 420 code can be caused by the cat, but can also be the o2 sensor, injector or even a vacume leak. Eliminating backpressure will cause severe loss of low end torque/gas milage = NORMAL driving. HP gains will only be seen @ top end. Easy check for a cat?? Run til engine is hot, then look @ the cat. If its plugged it will glow red, esp @ night. Still LMAO. What the kids don't know....they will learn the hard way.

I've known about that trick, it's how I figured out my original cat went bad.

But FYI: that locoman99 dude is in his 40's.
