Brake booster problem

I am restoring a 59 pontiac and the brake booster is bad. Can anyone help me on what i should do. I had my friend try to rebuild it he said it cant be. i contacted a couple places about sending it to them. I cant find one forsale anywhere. Does anyone know who i could call, or where i could get one custom built?

Have you had any luck at a Carquest or Oreilly's?

As for that are the Chieftans using the same body platform as the full size Chevys of those years because they do have a tendancy to reuse parts across those years.

I had my brake booster and master cylinder for my '72 Lemans rebuilt, bored, and replated by YearOne. It was not cheap, but the plating makes the old Delco Moraine booster shine.

Their master brake rebuild service is $265.00 plus shipping and handling (both ways). The master cylinder and booster replating is $735.00. I would recommend calling them first since this price is for a GTO/Tempest/Lemans master cylinder. I would think your master cylinder would be similar.

Both Original Parts Group, Inc (OPGI) and Performance Years car a line of large car catalogs for 59-68 Bonnevilles, Catalinas, Grand Prix, and Venturas. They might have new or rebuilt master cylinders.

Finally, you strike out with all of these leads, then try calling Ron Panzer. If you are a POCI member, then you know who Ron Panzer is. Ron has written extensively about Pontiacs, especially old B-body cars. Ron lives in Marengo, Illinois and runs his own automotive repair service. I would recommend perhaps trying to contact Ron and see what he recommends if all else fails.
