A NASCAR Thread! I'm looking forward to the 500 as well.

I love the 500, I always go to a good family friend's Daytona 500 party. We place bets, eat a lot, talk smack to each other, etc. It's a hoot!

After that I just let my dad update me as to how the season is going. I haven't watched consistently since probably 2002.

Something just about the cars just doesn't interest me about Nascar plus the whole circle thing. I get free tickets every year to the Daytona 500 and never have gone once.

Although I have been on the track with my 6 and the beach with my 6 :picard:

I have been in Daytona a couple months ago and toured the track. That is one hell of a big place.

I find NASCAR is either a love it or hate it sport. I enjoy the sport but most of my buddies cannot stand to watch it. I have been to Michigan International Raceway 8 times for the August race. My wife has also been on the Raceway doing 146 mph doing the Petty Experience.

I grew up watching NASCAR religiously and it still has a special place in my heart even though I don't consistently watch it any longer. I vehemently defend it when people say things about how "it's not a real sport" or "they just go in circles," etc. I honestly prefer watching anything on a road course (especially Grand Am) but I could never hate NASCAR. I've been to Rolex 24 hours of Daytona and went to one NASCAR race at Indianapolis. That was a hell of an experience that I will never forget!

Testing started for Daytona and I am looking forward to the fuel injection systems. I just plotted out my time off from work and I got that Sunday off.

Not a huge nascar fan really lol, I did have hot passes for a couple of races which was pretty fun though. Being in the pits and watching the race there was fun but watching it on tv can be boring.

Only cars going in circles that i watch are ones doing doughnuts
