Joe is in a hurry so I will get a few teasers going.  So this is how my day started after losing the new fuel pump in the Sunbird.  Had to use Momma's GMC-H , you know Get My Car ...Home. Muddy roads from rain last nite AND Bent my front airdam, paint alone is unmatchable.  Grabbed my truck to meet up with JustaG6 and the Twins.  Their 1st outing, and it's the Pontiac show.  Good start!

Notice how my metal airdam is bending?

One of our long haulers.  After a week behind the wheel, Joe N Frosty climbed back in the seat to make the Dustoff.  Atta boys!!!

I really didn't walk around to check everything out so didn't get many shots to share. Let Frosty do what he does best.  Indy..plenty of room for you share too.  :D

Frosty does a much better job than i at taking pics.

Have to admit the man can shoot from the hip, shoulder, out the window, out the back window, all with out looking through the iron sights on the camera and nail the shot.

Thanks for the kudos boys. It's always a great time whenever we get to meet up together with our Ponchos. This week was definitely an FP get-together fest. More on that later.

Here are the scenes from this year's Michigan Widetrackers Dust Off. This is a Pontiac, Oakland, GMC, Buick and Olds show now.

A rare G8 GXP stick

This Firebird owner claims he did the True Flame work himself. It's good. I said that late Mie Lavalley would approve and he acted like he didn't know who that was. Mike invited the True Flame and was great at it.IMG_3502.thumb.JPG.268611feb0e733cc275ff00c0c17f26a.JPGIMG_3503.thumb.JPG.653618aa25364b702cc95d934e8fc536.JPGIMG_3504.thumb.JPG.100620885faf70062421df5ea795b5f7.JPG

A unique pair of '67s. A sedan and a convertible. I never found the owner of this modern Camaro turned Formula 400 Firebird. I have no idea who did the work or how much it cost. It's cool though. Definitely different from the Trans Am conversions I have seen before. Only real flaw that I saw is that the steering wheel still said Camaro on it.

This '83 Park Avenue reminds me of my parent's '85 Buick LeSabre Limited Special Edition. While there are defintely some subtle styling differences between the era of Park Avenue and LeSabre, they are still very similar in appearance. This is still owned by the original owner, it was his daily driver for well over a decade. He said even with the blown V8 engine, this car still floats down the road! I'll bet it is does.

We had one Canuckistani car too. This '64 Parisienne. What makes this car more unique, in my opinion, is that it has an inline six. What I am not sure of is who's inline six is it? Is it an inline Pontiac six or a re-dressed Chevy stovebolt six. The valve cover says Pontiac but it is painted Chevy orange. Hmmmmm.....IMG_3622.thumb.JPG.b75bada263e810926947f84ef45e42a7.JPGIMG_3623.thumb.JPG.b57ab5fd47155e8789db45d3d6453d95.JPGIMG_3626.thumb.JPG.a63434524a6c3435b50042c08ecf0c55.JPGIMG_3627.thumb.JPG.a37d1c80b0d738efff2b337c0789f4be.JPGIMG_3624.thumb.JPG.14414890a913af65d1a3fb408c73e325.JPGIMG_3625.thumb.JPG.43cc81f306ab835c159980e4b6850238.JPG

Finally, this weekend has been a Forever Pontiac reunion of sorts....

First Indyman Joe and I met up for the first time on Friday, 6-13, in Norwalk with Last Indian. It was a true pleasure to meet in person, the myth, the mad fab man, and the legend. I have pictures of his car. I will also state for the record that I doubt the pictures will do this car justice for the work he has done, especially under the hood. More on that in the 2025 Hot Rod Power Tour thread.

The Dust Off brought more FP get togethers.

Justa had even more vehicular mayhem with the Bird and Goat. He already ratted himself out. I have threatened to host an intervention on this damn cars if he doesn't get it together soon.

JustaG6 was there with her G6 "Red" for awhile. She had her husband and the six month old twins with her.

Indyman Joe showed up with Dirty Girl. Michelle stayed home - probably still counting up her swag whore tally.

Mr and Mrs. Notallthere showed up for hugs and a visit even though they didn't bring Envy out. They were doing a lot of running around but stopped by for hugs, kisses, cheap feels, and a couple of things I got for them on Power Tour. We have made tentative plans to meet up again by Roadkill Nights in August.

I am tired, beat, my feet hurt, and I have a slight sunburn, but this was a fantastic week for me as a car guy. It was capped off with seeing friends again. I could not have asked for much more than this! Thanks guys!

i watched the camarobird pull in looked well done. i was talking to some other friends and by the time i got to the car the driver was gone. Michelle had a garage sale to work at her sisters so she didnt hang out with us. Yes indeed it was a great week all around!
