Hey there,

Some pics attached of a midweek Cars and Coffee that has just started happening. It's a bit of a collaboration between the new owner and my car club, but any hosted event for our classics can only be a good thing right?

My car may be somewhat overrepresented in the pics, but what can you do🤷‍♂️

Looks like a good show...pity about that red Bonneville in almost every pic. The owner must have social integration issues.

I like that old green truck. I'd like to think an old truck would be an easier restoration than a classic car.

Yeah that guy definitely has issues...social integration being the least of them😆

And the truck is pretty much running, but that's it. The fella that owns that owns a few different things - he's a tinkerer but knows a lot of stuff & also knows a lot of people who know a lot of stuff.

His daughter has an early Beetle that they did up together before she had her licence. She's a cool girl - currently helping Dad replace the king pins in the car. She's not shy to get her hands dirty either, & the Beetle is her daily.

You wouldn't be an old car owner without issues - no such creature exists.

I sorta thought an old truck would be like an old tractor - really just drivetrain and sheetmetal.

Do you ever watch CAR S.O.S. on ABC? Quaint funny little Pommy show. If you've never seen it, tune in. They restore old wrecks belonging to owners who have suffered chronic illness or hard times. A lot of the cars are dreadful 50s & 60s Pommy buckets but it's highly entertaining.
