How come Byron Burnetts 1965 GTO looks like a 1966 or 1967 GTO??

because it has 67 grill inserts and 67 rocker trim.  Sure looks good.

Well justa, I disagree. 64 through 70 had distinct differences according to each year. I think you should leave the cars as they came from the factory as far as looks go. I will probably get hate mail for this but originality looks far better at least when referring to GTO's! Each to his own though. I was 11 years old in 1964 and NHRA racing ruled my thoughts along with rock and roll. I used to be able to tell you what the driver stats were for the racers. But then came making a living. Filled my head with computers, programs, and network administration. Can't find old user stats anymore. But I can find GTO'S and have a reverence for them. Pontiac Forever indeed!!!

(I owned a '68 and 69). Those were cars!!

Are you forgetting Justa66?  Tell me more about GTO's

Beautiful 66!

I wish I could go to New Zealand and see the car. Before you all get too excited just remember I never said I was an expert. Just a burned out network administrator who loves GTO'S!!! When I can afford to own one I will probably be too old to remember where second gear is. Lol!!

Congratulations Jay! Your GP is absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
