These are all cool cars just some are seriously unobtainable to the average Joe.

1953 Buick Skylark convertible 1,690 built

1963 Super Duty Tempest Wagon   14 total SD Tempest/Lemans built - 2 were wagons

1965 Buick Rivera Gran Sport - with the dual quad Supercat Nailhead - 179 built

1969 GTO Judge convertibles - 109 built

1970 Buick GSX Stage 1 - 2,465 built

1969 Trans Am - 669 Built - of the 669, 8 convertibles were built

1987 Buick GNX - 547 built

The 1954 Bonneville Special is one of two Pontiac concept cars built by Pontiac. It is a rare day that an actual GM concept or prototype car, much less an actual GM Motorama car, gets into the hands of the general public. Yeah, as a concept car, I'd say $3M was probably a fair price.

Justa, IndymanJoe, and I are fortunate that we get to see Monkeemobile #1 (as shown in the article) every Woodward Dream Cruise and/or the occasional Detroit Autorama. The current owner lives in Livonia MI. He bought it at the B-J auction and has other great looking movie/TV vehicles as well.

I was mildly amused that the Stan Ancoler '63 SD Lemans didn't make the list at nearly $400k the last time it sold at auction.
