Going in for back surgery (sorta)

Featured Replies

So on 12/22 i am going in for Facet Joint Injections in my back. I am going to be under general anestesia and they are using x-rays to guide needles in my facet jounts to put in a steroid between my T12&L1; L1&L2; L2&L3 vertabre. I am not excited for this but it is going to take the Pinch off of the nerves in those vetrabre due to bulging and deteroriating discs.

This scares the shit out of me so i will let you all know more when i am out but they said that this will help for about 6-12 months... I am so tired of popping pills and getting 12-14 local inkections every 3-4 weeks.

Well... We play the waiting game...

Wow, yeah don't blame you. I would hate anybody doing anything to my back. Next to my brain, I think that's the next thing I would hate to have surgery on...

Good luck! Hope it works!

It is from my car wreck in 04ish? My L1 was cracked and healed wrong.

As for the sedation part, i watch too much TV and there is this syndrome that you are out, sorta, paralized but fully awake and can feel everything. It is less than 1% of 1% but shit!!!!

I was J/K :lol2:

Good luck bro... hope all goes well! :lol2:

Ew. I don't ever want to have surgery. That kind of crap freaks me out.

Good Luck though! :lol2:

I am thankful I have never had surgery or been under anesthesia for any reason. I'm sure it will happen some day and I do not look forward to it in the least!

However, best of luck to you! Please please please let us know you are okay asap one it is over!

normal to worry a bit and you will be fine. how long will it take?
