Good to hear there's a bunch of "intense competition."  Hopefully that doesn't cause a dump of competition due to dealers failing.

The mom and pop dealers could go under - eventually.

C'mon man, really? When you can advertise on TV "Take $13K off the sticker price today" or $9K off MSRP" imagine what they must be making in profit? Plus there are hundreds of websites and phone apps that can educate you on what are cars true value is.

One of the local Chevy dealers went out of business here and was bought out by the national Hendricks. That dealer though was the opitimy of "old school" dealers though. Sales that tried to take advantage of you and crummy service dept. to boot. Went there to look around and price a Camaro when I was looking, they wanted to charge me way too much, no GM discounts, nothin. Laughed, walked out and went to a dealer 20 min away. Night and day difference. Dont think i have to say who i bought the Camaro from.
