HELP!!

Question

So this morning on my way back from the university I filled up (I was getting a fuel VERY low warning) and i filled the tank all the way up with 93 octane fuel at a BP. On the drive home things seemed normal but when i got up to about 60 it seemed to start lurching forward and seemed as if there was a loss of power. if i hit the gas a little harder it would stop lurching but coming back to a cruising speed with lower RPM it would start lurching again.

Oil was changed about 1000 miles ago, I checked all the lines, temps are good and I have no codes being thrown. thoughts?!?

Any help is appreciated

Sputtering...hmm...

Fuel pump might have sucked in some sediment at the bottom of the tank, and clogged the fuel filter. That's the risk you take running the tank dry.

If not that, you might have overheated the pump, and caused damage.

I'd find somebody with a fuel PSI gauge, check to see what readings you get from the fuel rail.

SES light on?

no lights whatsoever. extremely knowledgeable buddy of mine called me and said the same with the sediment thing. though now the car is running flawlessly so i think the sock caught the bs and it re-settled between working out and class. sidenote, the fuel pump in the GTO is external from the tank so more than likely running it dry would have no effect on its temperature

Glad to see it was just sediment build up. Just don't run it empty anymore. :lol2:
