Welp, when it rains it pours, On my way to grab a new rear bumper i hit a pothole that took out my tire, in the process it bent my rim, so R.i.P eagles since finding this set took me 6 months, trying to find another will be even worse, Looks like i wont be making it to nationals. Oh and just to make sure today was a epicly crappy day, i get rear ended with the new bumper which cracked it and scratched it but no metal damage.
  2. that .2 is around 2-3 more psi, On my generation of 3.8s/c that would be fine with just headers and a intake and tune, but you have a bigger blower a 3.6 = a 3.4" on my engine, a 3.4 on yours = a 3.2 on mine, for a 3.2 to run safely you need valvetrain work or a intercooler, you need flow mods to get the air out of the engine before cramming more air in, if you were to put that 3.4 on your car without a IC or valvetrain mods, you would chip a few pistons. Headers alone will net you 10-15whp

  4. I very highly recommend getting that pulley exchanged for a 3.6 unless you feel like replacing your motor, also dont touch the pulley until headers. other wise you will be looking or a new short block
  5. Welp, Blew the trans up again, lost first and most of reverse, but a few days before that i got the wiring and maf issue delt with. bought another tranny that will be dropped in asap.

A dyno tune would be your best bet, but make sure they know 3800's, if you got anymore questions lmk, if you want to get a little bit of performance and be able to hear the supercharger whine, Then remove your airbox and but a cone filter on the end of the stock tubing, cold air intakes dont do much for these cars because the blower will heat the air anyway

All Headers for 97-03 grand prix will work on 04+, i reccomend Speed daddy off ebay ( usually can get them for 200 shipped), With any pulley drop i recommend a tune because since your adding boost you need to let the computer know about it, Also These cars require 91+ octane Stock and running 87-89 will blow them up ( most people dont know this), Good sites for aftermarket parts for these cars are ZZPerformance, Intense racing
  9. a 3.4 will require valvetrain mods and headers to be run safely, once you get headers you can possibly drop to a 3.6 aslong as you have a scangauge and a tune.
  10. congrats the the purchase, i reccomend getting headers and forget about the throttlebody, dont do colder plugs until you have a smaller supercharger pulley

  12. Well guys, She lives to boost another day, finished up everything and have a few little kinks to work out, but i just took her on a 1200km roadtrip up north. Cant wait to take her to some shows and get this bumper fixed. dont mind the messed up paint on the blower, was still a wee bit wet while installing it, but damn... i missed driving this thing and cant wait to get this boost leak fixed as with its maf wiring problem
  13. all depends on what you want, bonnie is bigger and more comfy, GTP will be faster, and more sporty and funner to drive, the 4t65e-hd is a hit or miss, some last forever, and some crap out at 100k miles, the GTP has a bit more aftermarket support chassis wise, Both are great cars, just depends on what you want.

Damn, looks like a great show, i wish i could have made it, but i finished the rebuild saterday morning at 5 am after staying up 24 hours working on it, Then took it for a quick test drive and let it idle for its trip to michigan and a injector oring ( new) was defective and let go, causing it to spray fuel and causing a engine fire, so i ended up taking the van, but by the time i got to michigan ( 330) i figured the show was over, i will make it to the dream cruise this year tho.
  15. Dont think so, i dont even have the heads back from the shop...And the bimmer decided to call it quits a few days ago... the GTP as of 6pm
  16. I get the heads,lim and blower back today from being ported, Paint has begun

So since im ripping apart the engine, it gives me the chance to make it look a little better, Doing a few things that iv never seen done on a 3.8, painting the block pontiac blue, Heads black, im reusing my polished aluminum valve covers, lim is silver, And trans will be black with powdercoated fuel rails., And i got a surprise for the supercharger, also decided to try and shave the supercharger, looks good so far and has taken me 5 hours....
  18. Called a tow truck for it 5 mi after i pciked up the new heads for the gtp.... can anything go right for once?
  19. so, this simple gasket job turned into a nightmare, one of the bolts snapped in the head, so i got ported heads, cam, timing chan and other stuff coming saterday, How to have everything put back together by mid next week requires me to go to Grand rapids tomorrow to pick up all the stuff needed for the swap.... crap
  20. ok, the sale of the car fell thru, so im going to try my best to get the gtp done.... so much to do in a week...
