  1. I thought you won in the past six months tho? Or am I crazy? or Both?
  2. Well we all know that must mean the sky is blue.
  3. I almost did. But then we picked up a hottub that our neighbor gave to use for free. Then I preceeded to do nothing when my father told me I can use his 2010 Chevy Equinox so that I can do real bodywork to the Phoenix. At first I was like: But I went into my room and was like:
  4. there is its "Platnium" code 15, the same number on the panel mounted to firewall! GM: WA7022 Ditzler: 3076 DuPont: 45177LH, 45177A, 45177D Sherwin Williams: 3878
  5. now that I really look at it a cowl wouldn't be that bad considering my hood already has the raised middle.
  6. I would go but thats on the other side of the state! lol
  7. I know I spelled it wrong haha. It was late, I'll get some pics. As for the hood I have another question. Would it make the car more umm, aerodynamic? (best word I can think of) because the front end is very flat and I'm thinking a cowl would let air that went into the engine escape easier creating a relatively better airflow on my front end. Is my logic flawed?
  8. I know, he misinterpreted what I said, I meant to say they are uncut from a Nova. I was just upset because he jumped in and claimed rice, which I didn't see them as ricey in the first place. I might just get the silver without the stripes. It would be nice to put the original paint back on it. If the black on it didn't have the metallic flake sparkle any GM black touch-up would be fine, its just with this paint the touch-up stands out. As for a professional paint job that is a no-brainer for me. My ex-girlfriends father says that he will do it for cheap. He painted his daughters 67 Camero RS and his 1940 Chevy Coupe, both look excellent. Do you guys think that with Pontiac gone I can still find "Pontiac Platinum" or will it have to be some GM brand knockoff? I mean the Pontiac blue engine paint is now "GM Blue" at every auto store I've been to. BTW I have people telling me to get a cowl. I'm not sure, are there any benefits besides cosmetic?
  9. Excuse me, They came off a nova of the same year. They never made a legit ram air hood for the Phoenix/Ventura, I'd have to get aftermarkets cut in the hood. Let get back on topic about the paint, please.
  10. I as well, will honour him with a Slim Jim.
  11. They are uncut scoops for a Chevy Nova of the same year so rice is not a variable. If I was going to get them I would actually cut them out because it would benefit the carb. I can still decide yay or nay on them. I'm more concerned about the color. I loathe the current paintjob. It is sharp but it is custom and I cannot get any touch up. The tard that owned this thing last never took care of it. My left rear quarter has a VERY noticeable gash down it, along with various scratches and paint chippings. To add to all that the guy that restored it, (Not the ignorant teen I bought it from) when he brought it to a shop to have it painted they never even debadged the car. The badges, the chrome hood divider, the aluminum siding, and the base of the spoiler has Pontiac Platinum all around and under them. It may look nice in pictures but up close you can tell the paint job was sloppy and rushed. Absolutely no pride in the work of those people. The same deal with the dying of the dash, but that is a whole nother story. That silver paint is this cars ORIGINAL factory color (Minus the red stripes). Pontiac Platinum. As stated before the silver OEM color plus the red striped looks mean and head turning.
  12. Thoughts? (and yes this is my car before the guy fuked it up.)
  13. oh man I wish I had a convertible. Alas I am stuck with a Landau top xD Lookin good man!
  14. I spy a blurry screwdriver and 2 cans of AXE body spray
  15. Yeah but what I mean and I think that Chris means is that the average citizen isn't going to know that, they are going to skim the news about it and be like "GM SUPPURTS CUMMUNARSTS!!!""
  16. They do go back that far, they list ones for 1940's. (http://store.rothautobooks.com/s14000.html) They are in the process of posting their new inventory so they don't have anything really listed. I think you also have to request one and they shoot you an email.
  17. [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gj9YvNNP77o Not only do they have manuals but various other pieces of automobile literature. (Paintchips, wiring diagrams, press kits, ect) -Lincoln -Chevy -Mercury -Pontiac -Cadillac and more http://www.rothautobooks.com
  18. Do they know that this will be a huge turn off for domestic sales? The public is going to think that GM supports communism (To each his own but we all know that communism in America is for the most part frowned upon) What the hell are they thinking? An American car company that doesn't want to sell cars in America??
  19. How can you not have an arrowhead? Its Pontiac. Blahhhhh
  20. 50 bucks for a bitchin' piece of mancave material isn't all the bad. It just depends on the condition of the cave and how often you use it.
  21. Welcome! My name is Mike, I have a '78 Phoenix. I LOVE THE G-Series Is it bone stock? Any mods? Do you have any pictures??
  22. Well, it is worth a try anyway.
  23. http://www.bringpontiacback.org/ Just thought that I would spread the word about this site to anyone that might not know. I just received an email from them this morning.
  24. So my dad just bought a 1999 BMW 323i and I'm going to be driving his 2010 Chevy Equinox. You know what that means? Progression is going into overhaul mode this summer, body panels are coming off and the frame is going to get some attention Everyone get excited!
