  1. I didn't take any new pictures but I applied the second coat of yellow to the Hurst shifter last night. I applied and touched up the red arrowheads. The PONTIAC letters didn't need anymore paint. They required an Exacto knife to scrap away some paint dribbles. I did put a second coat of blue on the lug nuts. I have a weekend drive from Numica Michigan (south of Muskegon) to Traverse City. It's a drive around Lake Michigan. We have 2 private car collection tours on the agenda for the weekend as well. I'm taking Black Beauty.
  2. Bangers and mash is fine dining for sure. I still don't get what the appeal of mushy peas are in the UK. Are you going to try to find some haggis? Most Scottish pubs store their "room temperature" beer kegs in the basement to help lower the beer's temp. Their brews are designed for the room temperature since modern refrigeration was considered to be expensive (back in the day) for the cheap pub owner(s). A Scottish beer is fine with me. Most English brews are skunk piss - to me.
  3. Where’s the bloody malt vinegar? It’s not a proper chippy without malt vinegar! Any chippy I know serves fish and ships in paper too mate! I was highly disappointed with the chippy outside the Tower of London BTW. Brits love their damn smushed peas. I’ll never understand the concept of serving adults something that looks like baby food. i recommend Scottish beer over English beer. English beer is like making love in a canoe compared to Scottish beer. It’s f$cking close to water. I’ve heard stories how the English come to Scotland for the British Open and getting roaring drunk on Scottish beer.
  4. I just looked it up. A '98 TA ran 5.1 seconds in the 0-60. A 2002 TA ran 4.6. Still damn quick in my book. I will have to assume the difference in performance is different LS1 go fast parts such as cam or exhaust.
  5. So did you take a train through the Chunnel to get from Paris to London, or did you drive or fly? I was in Trafalgar Square just before the London Olympics with my dad and family. It was a great time. It helps to have relatives in Scotland.
  6. I like the list but I am surprised that the Buick GSX didn't make the list. The 455 GS Stage 1 did.
  7. Culture and cuisine are all fine enough Kiwi. Have you forgotten about the last "C"? Cars! Where are the super hot, Euro-erotic car porn pictures dude? Don't let all the touristy crap with the boss make you forget your mates needs too!
  8. That’s what the caption says, but I’ll be damned if I can find it, or the album. Must be trick photography! This is harder than Where’s Waldo!
  9. Bennie Hill or Red Green? Either way I’m in good company! Back off FP! I have got duct tape and I’m not afraid to use it!
  10. Thank you…..I think, wise asses! Hmmm…..the Sistine Garage has a certain ring to it!
  11. I agree Two Lane, but as you mentioned, they are part of Pontiac;s unobtainuim list of rare items. So few 303s or 366s were ever made, that it is practically impossible to find one without spending a huge fortune in cash just to buy the critical pieces. Plus these were pure racing spec engines, or at least that was what they were intended for - Trans Am/SCCA racing.
  12. We can make it one Joe! LOL! Or better yet, get another Lemans!
  13. Wow! That's up north of Calgary quite a ways. It's about half way to Edmonton, right?
  14. This weekend I got the last two new BF Goodrich TA Radials, 255-60-15s, and got them mounted on the newer rims. I haven't mounted them on the car just yet. I need do something else first, like power wash the wheel wells, they are pretty dirty, so I need to take the car for a decent bath first. I spent some time this weekend doing "arts and crafts" work. I've had this set of chrome valve covers for quite awhile now. I never installed them since Lucy wasn't running. However, now that she is, I can work on other things. I dragged out my 10-year old, never opened, One Shot pinstripers paint. First I took a Scotch Brite pad to the letters and arrowhead on both covers. Next I sprayed some self etching primer into a cup and hand painted the primer over everything. I let that dry over night. On Sunday, I mixed some paint and hardener into a Dixie cup and hand lettered both valve covers in Fire Red and Process Blue. I will probably need to do a second coat but I am letting it set for 24 hours first. My Scotch Brite pad and my brush selection Self Etch primer is now on. FIrst coat of paint on the valve covers. This was not the only art project I started either. I decided to create a faux wood on my aluminum Hurst pistol grip shifter. I have started with the Scotch Brite bad, some self etch primer and a first coat of yellow. The final project was a brand new set of Rally II lug nuts. This is an idea I got from my late friend and former GM designer, Paul Deeson. He designed my "Jury" logo too. Paul designed the '66-67 GTO/Lemans/Tempest as well as the first S10 Blazer/S15 Jimmy. Normally Rally II lugs are either chrome (post '72), black or red centers. I painted the centers Process Blue. I may need to add another layer of paint. I used Bullfrog adhesion promoter on the plastic caps before I added the paint.
  15. I was not aware of the George Washington statue. I know that the two smaller versions of the Statue of Liberty are in Paris. The one in the Seine River faces her larger sister in America.
  16. But some body has to do it! Cheers mate!
  17. Give the Louvre my regards Mon amie! If you need help drinking the Heineken, you know who to call, right? For us, that would technically be a "beer run"! Happy to help a bloke who has too much beer on his hands!
  18. To piggy back onto what 31pontiac stated, I was also eager to watch this show. However, it highlighted for me how I can probably never afford one of their cars. They are awesome re-designs of the Camaro while still paying tribute to Pontiac's past. I need about $200k in the bank to afford a new Trans Am or a proper restoration. Makes the pool of customers extremely narrow. LS or LT conversions are nice. They've become the SBC conversion of the last 20 years. They are not the be all/ end all conversion though. Swapping out a 326 or 350 for a 455 makes a lot of sense with a lot less cost and the need for specialty parts like custom motor mounts, headers and a new oil pan.
  19. I am sooooo happy for you and your duty free gift, I could just cry mate! Does the missus know you are getting another lorry as yard art once the beer is gone? Asking for a friend.
  20. Dude! Where the hell have you been?!? The wife clearly got way too much honey do time out of you!!!! You need to come back to us and be evil and talk about cars with your buds!
