Interior Project

Hello All, I am going to start a complete interior replacement soon and with all the choices of suppliers out there like Year One, Ames and Classic Industries. Can you share your experience with quality materials and fair pricing. Thanks

What are going to replace and what are you going to keep?

My upholstery guy told me to purchase my reproduction seat covers directly from Legendary Auto Interiors, don't even look at PUI. He said that Legendary has the most accurate reproduction gain and accurate material available. Go directly through them rather than Ames, YearOne, Performance Years, etc. They are just middle men and mark it up for stocking it and shipping it to you.

For those things that Legendary does not carry, then all is fair in love, war, price, and shipping. I tend to buy things from National Parts Depot only because there is a warehouse here in Canton Michigan that is 90 minutes from my house, so I can save on shipping costs by buying direct that way. You may not have that luxury. So shop all the catalogs for the best deal (including shipping).

As for part quality, I have had good luck with Classic Industries, NPD, YearOne, and OPG.

Never heard of Legendary. I will check them out. I am doing seats, panels and rugs. My dash and console is in great condition. Thanks for the link. Just clicked on the link and they are about 45 minutes from me. Damn that is awesome!!!!!

I have purchased carpet and seat covers from them. This is top notch stuff. I am very pleased with their products.

If they are 45 minutes away from you, then you can probably talk to them directly in their office/show room and ask questions and save on shipping too !!!

I used OPG for my GTO seats....Look good, but they are flat instead of having real pleats in the seats. Go Legendary on the seats at least. Frosty's interior is DA BOMB!

Thanks for the compliment JUSTA!
