I bought this one a couple years ago and it has been good so far but I do regret buying one that will to diagnostics. The only reason that I bought this one is that I was being cheap. So if it means a few more bucks grab the one that can do diagnostics to hammer down the proper censor and save time in the long run.

I bought a cheap $40 one at autozone a while back. Hasn't let me down... All it can do is read the code and delete them though.

Sent from my mind using telekinesis.

I have one that does diagnostics. I can also upgrade the software from the internet. It comes with its own tutorial CD. It's for OBD II cars. Is there a problem with the Vibe or the Cavalier?

Should have stop by the house after the Lake Orion Parade last night and borrowed mine. Maybe we can hook up next weekend.

Necro, but no point in making a new thread.

I've been thinking about getting a Diagnostic tool now that I have the Bonneville. A Tech II clone is too expensive I think, but I also want one that isn't like the ultra-cheap ones that Autozone uses to just pull a code. Any suggestions?

So yeah, I got a Tech II clone. The Bonneville guys convinced me. The former/current GM techs over there were amazed by the quality so I got it from the same vendor. I'm really excited to learn.

i mean hell for the price and being able to access the abs part is worth it.. i priced out dedicated abs readers and they were close to what this thing goes for..
