I need some help folks. i cant remember were i saw a 1997-2002 Grand Prix GTP using 285 series tires :drool: for auto crossing. does anyone know were i can find it?

You'd need some seriously aggressive offset to have a 285 width tire, which probably means it has to at least be a 9" wide wheel.

Without pics, I find this hard to believe.

Added: 285 doesn't leave much info to find a tire. That's just the width. What size is the wheel? What are they going on?

damn it i cant remember :picard: , it was a red GTP and it did use 285 fatties. i just cant recall what forum. the did use his car to auto cross.

doesn't look that big in the pictures...

i was thinking the same thing but spec wise it is. looking at the pic it looks no bigger than my 225-50-16 tires on the 16x8 GP crosslace rims.

at least they aren't steel wheels. for stock wheels they aren't hideous. but at least if he does buy new rims he won;t have to buy new tires if he sticks with the same size rim
