Great shots. Nice job.

OK, 1st time out this year for my 66 GTO was the All Pontiac show. On the way home, squeel from the rearend had me thinkin bearing. but was a broken brake shoe nail. Easy fix (for a change) So I need the car to be at my wife's class of 66 reunion tomorrow. Took it up for an alignment. Baaad steering gear box. 3 wrong ones later and comming down to the wire the correct one shows up Tues. Til I go to hook it up. My original has a flat side on shaft....not the new one. Frantic search for a coupler got one yesterday. As I was leaving my ol Pontiac dealer, the middle carb in the tri power starts pukin gas. Yep took 3 tries for the right rebuild kit and got that yesterday as well. All put together N was rainin @ 6am here. Roads are all mudd. So I pulled the grills, repaired, painted (blacked out) and added my new chrome. Finally all fits the way it should and gets rid of a couple more boxes of new parts.

So beaming with pride I take er out for its 1st trip to the gas station to fill er up N see if my gas gauge is finally fixed as well. Was offered an 80's Vette vert in a straight trade @ the 1st light I stop at. Was swarmed at the gas station and people thumbs uppin me on way home was crazy. But now its smokin like a pig. Traced it to an oil leak from on top of the oil filter. Thinkin maybe the old line for the oil pressure gauge cracked or something. Worse is its leakin right onto my headers N baaad. Only hope I can get er fixed before 12noon when we have to leave tomorrow. For the LOVE of Pontiac.................C'mon LIL GTO!

EPIC FAIL.... Worked on the car late, back out this AM til 11. Oil leak fixed, couple other issue's too, Test drive. All is good. We get 5 miles away from home N the float sticks again. Impossable. Limpin it home starts grinding. Dropped it off in driveway N grabbed truck to go to reunion. Even the neighbors knew I was pi$$ed leavin the car in driveway all day with me not being there. Have no idea why after checking everything moving in the frontend, I find the driveshaft is hitting on the floorpan? Where did this come from? NOT HAPPY @ ALL.
