Try vinyl, it's an easy way to change things like trim and can be taken off with no damage.

Yep, I'd use vinyl. I used that to black out the chrome trim on my old G6 and it worked great!

Dupl-Color has a two can black chrome paint system. I suspect there are others. I imagine you can just Google "Black Chrome" and find others.
