What do you use to clean your car?

What do you do to keep the water spots from forming? I remember AZ being notorious for this :agreed:

after the wash, i use Adam's Polishes detail spray. it helps not to leave any streaks and also has prevented the water spots from forming. I use this at least 3 times a week to help keep the cars shine and also when it rains, just like wax, it actually lets the water drool off. works pretty well but really expensive.

i think its adamspolishes.com. they have some really good stuff but doesn't beat Mothers. :)

I was just joking earlier...looks like some people cant take a joke.. :)

Anyhoot, I use mothers as well. I esp love mothers chrome and aluminum polish....what a shine. So Id also recommend Mothers FTW.

when im not not using the stuff from work.

been using Mothers for years, love that suff! :)

I like to use simple green concentrate and mix it in my own squirt bottle (so I can make it a bit stronger) for the rims. Whatever carwas soap is on sale but when I want to stripp the wax off the car I use laundry detergent.

i wonder what they used to keep those cars so clean?!?! lol

Probably clay bars and so many steps that'll make you wonder....why bother?? :dancingpontiac:

Anything Mother's is all I use on this GA...

3 step wax and clay bar kit was my spoiling options this summer and was quite pleased with the results...

We will see come spring how good they really are tho... I'm afraid of what is under the salt at the moment hahaha

I does cut down/clean grease but never tried it on the engine bay.

Yep, it literally strips any loose material away B) We use it on our weapons sometimes to get the grease and grime off, and it will even take loose paint too...

We use simple Green at work on our P-19's (fire trucks) VERY good at stripping anything!

But on the topic of our cars. I bring mine to the mexicans down the street. I haven't had time to do it myself lately.
