Somehow the fact that the 231 V6 Buick was turbocharged in 77-78, but the real kick in the pants came in 79 and 80 the last years of the rear wheel drive when they introduced the EVEN fire engine and went 1 step further with turbo charger setting the stage for Buick Grand National to take GM by storm.

LeSabre could be ordered with the 4.1 turbo V6 you NEVER hear of. Well kept secret.....I have those internals in my 231. Heavy duty crank and rods. Not to mention factory up grade/answer for the 231 head gasket problem. Needs some triming to work. This is yet another puzzle piece to GN dominance story. Stage1 and Stage2 factory racing engines finished the story.
