Its been a long time since i had a car from the 70s but when you left your key in ignition wasn't there a buzzer ? I'm asking because i forget my keys a lot.

Sorry for the late response. Some GM luxury brands in the 70s had the buzzer but most did not. GM later made a retrofit kit which I occasionally see on eBay. However I doubt your Lemans came with one from the factory.

ok thanks

Are you looking to add a buzzer to your Lemans? If so, I can look up the retro kit/GM part number.

i was but i'm not looking to take column apart thanks anyway i was hoping it was a buzzer that died

I think i owe you a bit of an apology. I just re-watched the episode of Roadkill where Freiburger and Dulchich drive thru New England. Freiburger was complaining about the buzzer going off constantly in the T-37 with the key out and engine off. Therefore the buzzer might have been an option.

I know my ‘72 Lemans Sport convertible does not have it. I don’t think Indyman Joe’s ‘72 Luxury Lemans doesn’t have it either.

Sorry about my mistake.
