Nice story. It was certainly a better looking car than the '57 Chevy IMHO, but that didn't show in the sales figures for 1957. Production numbers in 1957 highlighted the vast difference between the two brands, with only 32,862 Star Chief Coupes being produced compared to 166,426 Bel Air Coupes. Total Pontiac sales numbers in 1957 were only 333,473, compared to Chevrolets 1,505,910, which placed them 6th and 2nd respectively overall in the United States for the year.

Russel , I spotted a 347 for sale on tm ! 
long story short, it’s that red 57 sedan that was for sale in Hamilton a couple of years ago , the guy is in himatangi 

and he is looking to sell it , so thats 5 1957 that I  know of in nz now
