Pricing 1956 Pontiac Star Chief

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.  I’m not sure where to post this message on this site.  We have a 1956 Pontiac Star Chief 2 Door Hardtop.  Beautiful car.  We purchased it last January.  It came from the US.  Sadly my husband's passed away in September from the dreaded cancer.  I am thinking I will likely never drive this gem.  It is another motor for me to maintain and of course always the concern of mice getting into it.  So with much sadness I have decided I will list it for sale.  My question for everyone is…..how much do I ask for the car?  We live in Canada and in order to get it registered in Manitoba all vehicles must pass a vehicle safety inspection which it did.  So it is definitely road worthy.   Anyone have any thoughts about this or where I may look to get some direction?  I have dozens of pictures if anyone would like to see them.  I can’t seem to load a picture onto this post Thanks for any help anyone has to offer

Sorry to hear about your husband.

A lot of pricing is going to come down to condition and information on the car. Photos will help too.

I have access to Haggerty Collector Car Price Value tool. Pictures would definitely help us evaluate the car's condition.

My questions are what type of Star Cheif is it? Is it a:

   1. Custom or Catalina

   2. Custom Safari (station wagon - 2 or 4 door)

   3. Deluxe Convertible

Is there anything else you can tell us about the car in terms of options, engine type, or trim level?
