Not too familiar with Symphony X but I like what I hear on youtube and will be down in the pit on May 7th in Portland!!!

Symphony X is STELLAR. I've seen them live twice, they're a progressive/power metal hybrid, with Greek Mythology themes in their lyrics. My favorite song by them has to be the +24 minute long epic of their own rendition of "The Odyssey", absolutely epic.
