ok so i was cleaning the sunfire, for the show tmrw, and the engine was dirty, so i sprayed it down not thinking and remembered that the engine shouldve been running, but now the sunfire sounds like it has a big loopy cam in it, and it runs a little rough, any ideas what to do?

It might be an electrical contact that was wet during the cleaning process thats causing this... it's happend to me on anothe car when I took it to a car wash to wash/clean the engine... once the water evaporated and it dried off, it was good to go... this might take a while though...

pete is right. this happened to my buddies civic. he sprayed his engine down and got a little water in the spark chamber. waited until it dried and he was set. when i wash my engine, i always wait til it cools down. turn the car on and spray. aluminum heads can shrink and crack over time if you wash it while its hot. just fyi

As the others said, it's a misfire. Careful, driving while with a bad miss can damage the catalytic converter, and foul out the plug on the cylinder that's misfiring.
