Rotating Banners

Well an old idea, that probably came about when the forum was designed, finally came into action today! As you probably noticed the banner at the top now rotates through a total of 13 banners. They range from the typical G6s, G8s, Grand Ams to all the way back to a 1930s era Pontiac!! Good stuff, thanks Joe for making these! Let me know if your load time increases because I had to use a creative way to go about this because the integration code with IPB was a complete failure and I had to improvise lol.

Anywho I hope you enjoy!!

I took it out due to some prior conflicting issues but I can re-implement it no problem. Thanks for bringing it up!

The site picks us speed once your pc has seen all the banners. (cookies right?)

Close lol but its actually simpler. Its because you already downloaded all the files that they're stored in a temporary internet folder and it can just read it faster seeing as it just needs to pull it from your computer rather than re-download it. :lol2:

^^^ Geek talk :lol2:

Hey when you click on the banner its opening in a new window. (dident use to do that) :D

go fix it Geek! :bacon:

Hmmmm...interesting, the banners don't appear on my Blackberry. The site no longer has any banner on the top as a matter of fact.

funny it does on my BB... strange. Is your phone viewing in Full or Mobile? or do you not have those settings?

It's an older BB Curve. I normally have it set for Mobile emulation. That last banner was appearing as normal. Now, it's gone.

Yea I had to use PHP to code a random generator and it won't show in mobile.

Ahhh. I see. Eh, no worries.

Pretty nifty. I like it. I saw the TA and was like "woah, they changed it!" Then I changed the page and saw the Sunfire. Very cool guys.

:D:woot::D

Just a suggestion...maybe we can throw member's rides into the mix? Or just mods? :)
