  1. it's the light tan that's inside the car..the camera makes it look grey..i looked at semproducts.com and could not find what i was looking for/maybe i was looking in the wrong section.. well i found this place just now and it looks like i'm going to have to either go out to my car and bring the pillar piece inside or bring the one i got home to match the color. http://www.yourautotrim.com/semdye.html the places i found say Beige but my interior is way lighter than this.. http://www.autobytel.com/subaru/outback/2003/color/
  2. it's not perfect but it's a start. the mark i made this winter on the drivers side fender came out..wasn't really mad when it happened since it was light. that happened when i was cleaning snow off.. i stopped at the carwash beforehand and blasted the crap off and then picked up a couple gallons of spring water and did the ONR rinse in the garage.. this is after the ONR..doesn't look bad and still shines. in the middle of buffing..iirc this was the first stage..

  4. lol your lowering your car and im raising my outback up..albeit it's only an inch..figure i'll try the inch and see how it works..found a 2" kit after i bought the one i did but i wanted to see how the cv's were with the inch since the outback is already a lifted version of the legacy..
  5. i looked at SEM but couldn't find a damn thing.. i know they make the stuff because i have seen people use it to do what i'm doing but with a grand am..
  6. well i got one of these weller sp23l it's a 25w iron with a tip that's seen better days so i may try that out with some scrap pieces.. i bought a better soldering iron station not long ago so i'm not too worried about this one..plus it needs a new tip anyway.. my next thing is to find something to color match as close as possible the whole deal..
  7. i went through that crap when i tried selling the snow tires from my old legacy...i even went through the trouble to list the bolt pattern and saying it was up to the person buying to find out if they would work yet i still got asshats asking me if it would work with insert vehicle here..
  8. what ever works and will hold up and not separate later on.. i was planning on maybe using what ever it was to bond the two together and then color match the whole thing as close to the stock color as possible.. the black kinda stands out..if actual plastic welding is easier and will stand up better i'm not against buying a plastic welder within a reasonable price of course.
  9. the pillar pod is made from ABS plastic..don't have the pieces at my house right now. but what ever is used to make interior pieces in a subaru..
  10. ok tossing a pillar pod in the outback and i'd rather weld the two pieces of plastic together than use screws or rivets.. anyone have any experience with epoxy or anything i can use to weld the two pieces together. one is a stock piece from a subaru and the other is a pillar pod..
  11. i bought GTA V for PC and beyond the week it came out i haven't touched it.. not because it sucks or anything like that. just haven't had time for it..been logging some miles in euro truck simulator 2, been using the volvo up until recently when i switched to a k100 mod.. i usually stick to the cab overs since it is a European based game and all those trucks are cab overs. with a long nose american truck it becomes very hard to drive in the game.
  12. 3.09 for the 93 i have to put in the outback..
  13. dremel cutoff wheels right? i've had a few of those shatter..
  14. bought this thing when i first got the car and after the initial cut and test fitting i never did much with it..been knowing i needed to heat the plastic up to better form it to the pillar i broke out the propane torch and the end result is pretty good.. now since they don't make a pillar pod for this generation many people have bought one from an 02ish impreza..
  15. before during..oh damn where did my wheels go and back to normal attire
  16. try a mapp gas bottle. should be able to get one of the little ones from home depot..it burns hotter than propane.
  17. throw some heat at it..we got bearings like that at work and most of the time it requires a torch to get them out.
  18. did the changing of the tires thing today before during..oh damn where did my wheels go and back to normal attire
  19. if you ever want it i'm usually around fri and sat..
  20. mostly PC.. i have a PS3 i haven't touched in almost a year.
  21. how is the crew havoc.. was looking at that but the price kinda steered me away from it.
  22. damn you want a hand man..pretty much everything i had planned is on hold till it warms up and the snow is gone.. was gonna do the rear shocks on the subaru but since the rear wheel wells are ALWAYS packed with snow and it's been snowing like every other day that's on hold.. if you want a hand saturdays are free for me.
  23. yep can weld.. eventually i'll make something.
