Yeah man, I knew he felt bad. I told him we'd justa touch it up after she was running and not to stress about it. He's in the garage with me every day after school, I honestly have no idea how many hours he has put in on that car with me. That counts for something right, and you can't be mad at him for mistakes that anybody could've made.
Good on you mate 👍

Tomorrow is Lizard Skin Day after getting the patch panel settled in today, tightened up at the edges and seam sealed. I used the vanishingly rare, six-sided, self-tapping "rosette weld" drill attachment to install this panel - nah, I did not weld anything on it. The screws were the best way to get the panel edges - new metal and the original floor panel metal - to tighten up and lay flat. My apologies if this bothers anybody that I didn't weld it. It's fine by me with very tight edges needing only minimal amounts of seam sealer. It took quite a few relief cuts around the edge and a big notch below the gas pedal area to get it to fit well.
My next and I think last sheet metal repair on the Cat will be this rusty spot behind the driver's rear wheel. The stainless steel wheel well arch trim needs to come out and the patch metal will not need any complex bends. I think the old metal is 18 gauge and I have some of that around here to carve the patch. It appears that the inner fender structure behind this rusty area is solid.
Rick
Rick, if you are happy not welding it , sweet as mate 👍
in New zealand a rust repair like that has to be welded because the road gods.... Land transport nz
And what they say goes, other wise you get no road worthy, and then that means no insurance

The label maker works good mate
i use mine all the time , but I don’t bother sticking them along the wire , it will fall off . I just wrap the label around so it adheres to its self , that will never fall off .
also make your board for the relays a little bigger and you can have space to stick labels so in future you know what’s what 👍When I get home from the beach I will show you a picture of the relay board I made in the cortina …
Easter weekend has been nice and we caught heaps of fish 🎣

Well, I waited all day for a buddy to bring over his air brake bleeder and he justa left with it. It was missing everything except the tank. Man that's how my luck runs. But, the silver lining is that while looking over the bleeder I looked up on the wall, high up, where the old tools are that were given to me by old timers, older friends and grandfather. Look what I found, think it will work? It still has good suction. Thinking about trying it first thing in the morning and if it doesn't work then buying a cheap suction.
Oh, and I did get the passenger seat put in, the glove box insert, glove box door and lock installed, and emergency brake cables ran, not hooked up but ran.
That will be perfect for sucking out the old oil mate 👍

Well I'm back to work on Rosey after being distracted with a laser engraving machine for the last couple of weeks. Anyways, changed the trans pan gasket and figured I'd replace the rearend oil since I lost some when I pulled the axels for the brake conversion. I looked all over the pumpkin and could not find the drain plug. I finally got out the book and found it. It doesn't show the fill plug but I'm guessing that's it in the first picture. (This is an extra pumpkin I had in the shop. Not the one in my car) So according to the book, you gently thread in a 1/2" tap until the plug starts moving and then finish screwing until the plug is out. DO NOT DRILL HOLE IN PLUG. So, I looked inside the pumpkin and seen a tunnel where the plug would fall into the case. I really do not want to pull the axels and everything else justa to drain the fluid. Is it possible to justa loosen the lower bolts and let it drain out that way? Or is there another way to drain it? I have the Amsoil our Indian friend recommend for me to refill it with and didn't think it would be wise to mix that with whatever is left from the factory rearend oil.
Mate try justa taking out one bolt from the head and see if it drains the contents
If not
your gona have to pop the lot and crack that gasket
Or !!! Pull the top up plug and come up with a suction hose to pull out the contents
Do yo have a brake bleed pot that uses air ? That would suck all the gear oil out

NOW the fight starts!
You forgot rain Pete !
We still go on about Inches of rain too 😜

Any bored man with a Challenger Hellcat simply needs to retreat to the man cave with the keys. Start the car, rev the engine, and if necessary go for a ride in the country side until Shortland Street is over. As Mike Finnigan once said on Roadkill about a revving engine, “that is the music of my people!”
Boredom fixed.
Of course there is always car porn and online parts shopping! I’ll bet the boss will buy you a new TVJUSTA to prevent you from buying more shit!
You’re welcome!
Omg !!! Thanks for the idea frosty !!! I think I will get on line and go shopping !!!
that will get the bosses attention ! … new telly here we come- 3

Years ago, I read about a general concern amongst US petrolheads that they were worried about the amount of US heritage (in the form of collectable cars) that was disappearing overseas. I think we now know where most of them ended up! For such a small country, you guys have the best stuff.
You need a plumbing assistant, don't you? I'm ready.
