Another yummy French breakfast to start the day , followed with a walk ( we did 11kms yesterday and then another 6kms today ) to the hop on hope off bus ,,, great way to see Paris !!!

We went out for lunch at Port Douglas today and I had the Reef And Beef. Really good. I thought about your trip whilst I was chowing down and have planted the seed in the Boss's head for a 6 week holiday in UnZud - perhaps in the Spring.

The snails where slightly chewy , not to much , no real flavour, the dressing was a pesto/garlic which was very nice , all in all not a yummy as food in my book !
but not disgusting either 😜

While in the bar at our motel we met a nice couple from South Carolina , retired educators and they where here to go on a cruise ,

it’s great meeting people from all over ! , on the Eurostar train we met a couple from Canada that where hop skipping around the globe house sitting !

I was fascinated by this raven !!!
he has learnt how to grab the inside of the rubbish bag , pull it up and trap it with his claws and continue this till he gets the bottom of the bag up close enough to grab the scraps from the bottom !!!! :rofl:

We walked for about 5 hours today and had good look around.

Tried a cafe last night , onion soup , and some local moo , and it was very nice

Rump steak medium rare 😜

Certainly some yummy food to be had !!!

And we have found the best chocolate in the whole world !!!! Oreo chocolate block!!!!!!

Hi Andy, the jet lag wasn’t too bad , but if it’s anything like when we went to New York last year , it’s gona bite me in the arse on the way home ! :rofl:
we only have a lay over in san Fran going home , all our flights got cancelled after the original flights where booked via Dubai … which got flooded

Frosty , one of the storeys they told us at the Heineken factory was , in the early days the workers received 3 tokens per day for Biers , but because they didn’t want to drink every day most would save them up for Thursday - Fridays and all hell would break loose !!! , till one day the factory caught fire ! They stopped the token system after that :rofl:

Today we went to visit the niece at her home in bussum , a twenty minute train ride from Amsterdam …

Tickets and trains are very easy here

Even got to see a real windmill

Did you know ! ……. The lovely lady yesterday at the heiny factory was tell us , larger bier ( Dutch for beer) should have a good head of froth on it to trap the co2 from escaping ! … I never knew that ! I but it sounds logical …. Cheers guys 🍺🍺🍺🍺

This was our own private sampling room , that only 6 of us vip got to enjoy some different beers
