Christmas gifts

Featured Replies

We all get them but some are more memorable. So what are the best gifts you have ever received? What are the worst ones?

So I will start

Worst:

In 1996 my Aunt gave the grandkids and the nieces and nephews the exact same gift. The ages ranged from 6 to 22. I was 22. But that styrofoam airplane flew great in the mild wind in my Great Grandmother's yard.

Best:

I would say without sentimentality my wife has picked out all of the artwork for my rec-room. All limited editions

Best:

Way back when, a Super Nintendo from my parents. Probably the most expensive thing they ever bought me for Christmas and the most I was/will ever be excited about. I remember my Dad setting it up and they had to drag me away that night to go to bed. I woke up a few hours later and played again. They haven't bought me a video game system since  That's where my love of programming started and really have that gift to thank for all of my success or maybe not? Maybe, I could have been a doctor if I didn't get obsessed with video games

Worst:

A pillow with birds on it. I don't want to sound ungrateful as it was from my mom's cousin but you don't give a 13 year old kid a pillow. Candy, soda, gift cards, cards, games, even that plane notallthere got would be better.

i cant remember unboxing the NES, but awesome. i kinda remember the SNES. Christmas time at grandmas. the whole family there, good ol days when family was family. i opened up the gift, EXCITED! my dad sets it up and wow, everyone followed. same with the N64, Christmas and couldnt grt enough of it. i dont think i have a "worst" gift.
