I am going to interpret you question to mean eliminating your points/dwell and replace it with some sort of breaker-less ignition system.

I have a Pertronix Ignition II in my distributor in my 4555 that replaces the old points system. Pertronix has the ignition III kit out now. It utilizes your stock distributor with very little modification. Removing the distributor makes overall installation easier. Pertronix has kits for 4, 6, and 8 cylinder distributors. I certain that Accel and/or Mallory have kits as well.

I am sure the Mallory unit would work a lot better for JUSTA's V6 if he didn't have such a large hole in his hood to allow large quantities of water to come into the engine compartment!!!! :picard:

After converting my Mallory duel point to electronics, I was replacing the 115.00 module like gas in the tank. Had to install a (basicly surge protector) module, But that doesn't like to get wet.
