WTB: looking for a convertable part!!!

Recommended Posts

Hey guys and gals, a guy i work with has a convertable, and the motor that runs the top up and down does not work. He has looked (as he says) everywhere, but i told him maybe FP could help. He owns a 1991 Pontiac Sunbird LE with a 2.0L 4banger. If any one has one for sale or knows of one, or knows where he could find one that would be great.

BTW he would rather not get a junkyard part if at all possible.

Thanks

I think this place might have what he is looking for.

Also, if the motor is indeed bad, why not take it out and take it to a local electric motor repair shop? I am sure that most places have experience with electric motors that drive hydraulic pumps. It might only cost $100-150 to repair the motor locally (and a week or less of down / repair time) vs. $229.00 +S&H.

im just trying to help this guy find the part, i asked him about just taking it to a shop but he was kind of leaning towards a new one. If it was mine i would take it to a shop, but its not. thanks frosty for the site. i will try and see if he just wants to take it to a shop first.
