Looking into purchasing another DSM

i know. right now all the ones for sale are broken ones, raced ones, modded out ones that have been seriously raped, etc. i think im going to wait it out a bit longer before i purchase that way I can purchase 2 of them. One of them broken so i can use for scrap parts and one running. The motor in the broken one will be built into the race motor i have always wanted and once complete, TIME FOR SWAPPAGE! lol

Forgive me for being a little out to lunch but. What does DSM stand for? I thought they were just the Mitsubishi Eclipse.

that is correct. DSM stands for Diamond Star Motors. The main attraction being the almighty 4g63 6 bolt that started it all. little mods that can be turned into insane amounts of power.

lets put it this way... from 1989 to 1994, DSM's were the power behind mitsubishi chrysler vehicles.

Chrysler manufactured the Eagle and Plymouth vehicles from 89 to 94 with the DSM platform. Eagle continued on until 1999 when they discontinued.

the 6 bolt 4g63 is the TRUE dsm motor. the MMMA (Mitsubishi Motors Manufacturing of America) built the crappy 7 bolt platform that everyone knows as "THE CRANK WALK MOTOR".

Don't you think i know a lil too much about dsm history? man if they would have had car manufacturing in history class, i would have aced that shizzle. lol
