Well! Here’s another reason I have buying new vehicles! The XT5 has been in the air for three weeks now, JustA put on the ground today & still have a little more to do. GM has use the crappiest black frame paint for as long as I can remember. Maybe it holds up in the south, but up north, never going to happen! One year through an Ohio winter & it will be a rusted mess! GM knows this, but their answer is, the parts will hold up. Really!? This is the very same paint that was on the rear toe links of my Lacrosses that has a recall on them because they rust so bad that they break. GM explanation is they put too much paint on them! Yah right!

Anyway I’ve been painting my arse off! Quite tedious you know!

Rust oleum hammered paint. It is available in multiple colors pretty tough paint.

The best hammered paint I ever used was called Hammerite paint, but because of the tree huggers that formulation is gone. That paint was hard like a rock. That’s what the underside of the Indian’s is painted with. Still the rust oleum hammered paint is quite good! You do need adequate ventilation when using it, strong stuff.
