2025 Golling Buick-GMC Fall Show

Featured Replies

This past Saturday was the Golling Buick-GMC Fall show in Lake Orion Michigan. Golling is the patron dealership of the Michigan Widetracker's chapter of POCI. In turn, we support all the Golling sponsored fund raisers, car shows, and car cruises. There were about 20 Widetrackers and car there. I took Lucy for a change now that she is running again.

I will admit I had technical difficulties. I had not recharged the battery in my Canon T7i camera, so I only got a handful of pictures with it and then it died. So the rest of the show I took with my iPhone. So I present the iPhone photos first. I will download the Canon photos later.

I got to the show at 8:15 and I was amazed at all the cars that were already there. I figure there were 80 cars there at that time. Finally tally was around 140 cars. This year, the show was raising money for the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Lake Orion Memorial. We raised $2000 for that cause.

Nearly identical '71 Cudas. Both are 340 V8s. The one on the right has a shaker hood and a pistol grip 4-speed. The one on the left has no shaker and it is an automatic car. Same owner owns both cars.

These twin Chysler Lazer XE Turbos are as close to identical twins. The first one is owned by a husband/wife - who bought the car new in 1985. The second one is owned by their son, who found it in a barn in Arizona. Now what is interesting is:

  1. These are the only two white with red interior Lazers made in 1985.

  2. The VIN numbers are sequential. Essentially they came down the line one in front of the other.

Rockin' Ronnie is a local DJ legend. He is semi-retired. He only does 4 car shows anymore. This one and Frankenmuth Autofest are two of them!

Here's Lucy. Much to my surprise, I won an award for her. I won Best Looking Muscle Car! I am totally stunned but happy!
