Saw this on Anti-Rice. What an astounding piece of Italian craftsmanship.

In a wikipedia binge this morning, I read lots about Lamborghini and stumbled across the article about this car.

The car was developed entirely by ex-Lambo employees, and many claim it to be 'more Lamborghini than the Diablo', which was developed under Lee Iacocca's control of the automaker. It had classic Italian styling, yet looked stupendously ridiculous:

The coolest thing about this car is the powerplant it's built around. It's a V16, comprised of a pair of flat-plane V8 cranks bolted to a single block, and mounted TRANSVERSELY.

Cizeta sold 8 of these beasts in a four-year production run. Three of them were reputedly sold to the Sultan of Brunei, as part of his 7000 vehicle collection.

It also sounds like a gang of rabid gorillas on a murdering spree:

First produced in 1991, it can run 0-60 in four seconds flat and top out over 200mph.

Good lord.

And...part of a 7000 vehicle collection?!

V16 and 3 sets of headlights...what more to say but.....
