I went to a new local car show called the Strawberry Festival in nearby Corunna Michigan (at the Shiawashee County Fairgrounds). I was hoping to find strawberry pie. Not a strawberry in sight. Not much of a strawberry festival without strawberries, if you ask me.

Given the extreme heat and the newness of the car show, I don't think we had even 100 cars, still it was nice to walk around before ducking back under the canopy to stay out of the worst of the extreme heat. At least we had a steady breeze, but one tent almost went flying into Lucy because it was not weighted down (no it was not mine either).

Care to guess what this car is? I will tell you at the end.

Rat rods - paint optional. The blue tent belonging to these folks almost blew into Lucy before it was secured down.

Found this in the exhibitors area of the festival - near the food trucks. Lots of crafts and scrapbook stuff for women, so this seemed very appropriate.

That's it for the Strawberry Festival. Oh, the small classic car? It's a GEO Metro convertible!

I guess I will get a happy ending after all. The buddy that convinced me to go to this show, he owns the green ghost flamed Ford showbox next to Lucy. His wife went to the local farmer's market and picked up fresh strawberries and she made a strawberry pie. He is going to save me a piece and wants me to stop by on my way home from Lansing tomorrow! Yes, there is a God and there is fresh strawberry pie in my future!

ITS NOT A WHOLE PIE AS PROMISSED! I would've done a smokey burnout in protest of that "car show" they can breathe rubber until i breathe homemade strawberry pie! and i mean inhale that pie!
