Hello I’m new here.   I have a 1964 Pontiac Grand Prix I am trying to restore.  My father purchased the car new in Texas   And the car is yellow. Parchment interior with a dark saddle dash and carpet.   The paint code says 21A   The car did have a parchment vinyl top as well.   Everything I find says the car was starlight black.  And I know the car has always been yellow.  Any help would be great   Thanks in advance

Can you take a picture of the Fisher Body tag on the driver's side of the firewall?   Is that where you know the code as "21A"?

And welcome to the group.

Yes this is my tag.   Acc c60 and trim the -1   And paint code I have not found any with numbers

And the black that’s on the tag is over top of the yellow

Thank you

Thank you.   I’m not seeing the 21A color. Im not sure if they even had a yellow Cole for Grand Prix in 64   But mine has been yellow all its life   I have the car disassembled and it’s yellow everywhere. Not like a repaint color change.   I’m just confused what color to paint it and why it’s yellow if they didn’t pair that color in 64 go

PHS documents solved my mystery paint code

Does this confirm your findings?

Maybe somebody did a complete resto? OR it could have been built in early 65 and still sold as a 64 model.  GM doesn't do model changeover until 1st week of July.  Only yellow I see is 65.

Hey.   I ordered the original phs document and it was a special order with the goldwood yellow with an ivory vinyl top      Thank you for the reply. That is what I was thinking. That it was the next year color but I was confused because the car was built 1 22 64. So I paid for the PHS document and was surprised it was a special order
