Those use to be a great little cars. I use to have the Buick Regal version back in the day.

L-BODY!!!

I have an unusual soft spot for these cars. While the existing L82 in there isn't much to be excited about, it's the potential these cars have, and the interchangeability of them. I go on 60degreeV6.com often, and there's plenty of built up Berettas with hybrid LA1/LX9 or built up LX9 motors, laying down +280HP all motor to the front wheels, or boosted ones on the +400HP ones. To boot, very easy to swap in the 282 Getrag five speed for more fun and performance.

did the Beretta have a 5 speed option or did that come out of teh cav?

Yes, Berettas came with the 282 trans. Very easy swap to do.
