I have been comparing pricing of the same items in the Opgi and Ames catalogs and found that Opgi is significantly more than Ames on a lot of items.

I am wondering if the quality reflects the difference in prices?

When my Dad restored the 66 GTO I'm now the proud owner of, he bought most of his stuff through  Ames. I've recently ordered a few small things but plan on ordering some more stuff soon, mainly some front window cranks.

OPGI and Ames have a lot of the same core parts suppliers - the two things I notice between them are:

1. Who has the item currently in stock (today) ?

2. OPGI is located on the west coast (California)    Ames is located on the east coast (Spotford NH) - so prices and shipping will vary accordingly

I can say that I have used both OPGI and Ames on many items in the past. I've have never had any issues with the quality of parts from either vendor. The ONLY issue I have ever had with OPGI was how long my vent window frames were on back order. Which honestly that's not their fault. OPGI's vendor had issues do to corona. But customer service has always seemed to be good at both places as well. Shipping costs to me has always been a bit high from both places. But at least the part arrives in a well packaged box with no damage to anything I have ordered. Quality, I'm personally satisfied with OPGI and Ames and will continue to use them and recommend them to people I speak with and to my friends.
