I paid Indyman Joe a visit yesterday. I dropped off a set of 15 inch rims too. I bought them from him a couple of years ago, I had them powder coated silver and then I had used the Eastwood Charcoal gray on the rims. I had not finished the touch up or clear coat work. I gave that all to Joe since I know he needs another set of rims to use to mount street slicks on for applying more undercoating to his rear wheel wells. I will be buying a new set of 15" chrome wheels here real soon for Lucy.

So while I was there I took so shots of what the car looks like at the moment, especially since I know how technically challenged Joe seems to be in uploading pictures to FP!!!!

Forgot the damn thang was in my coat pocket.  Heard Frosty call this evening and found the coat in the closet, talked til the battery died.  If your headin out to Inline tube, make sure you get one of their Pontiac catalogs. You would be shocked with all they have to offer. Also heard you got to see the lost treasure from the Last Indian, your a luck man!

I am close to ordering the rear end complete from QP.
https://www.quickperformance.com/9-F...2_p_20386.html

One of my questions is about the disk brake upgrade.
Specifically this option, Wilwood Dynalite 12.19" Disc With Shoe Style Park Brake [+$450.00]

Has any one here went this route?
I haven't contacted them yet. I want to know how well it works and if it is worth it.
Did you have to change the prop valve?
I have factory disc's in front now with factory rear drums. They work fine for me but if it stops better then why not I guess.

Second question is the posi options.
We drive our car a lot. 10k plus a summer.(before we got our Labrador, she's calming down so hopefully we can take her with us) With some weekends at a 1/8th mile track with a lot of hot lapping. I also plan on running a couple 1/4 mile tracks this summer.
With that in mind I am thinking this is the way to go 31 Spline Eaton Truetrac Posi [+$125.00]

JD race built the current 8.2 out of a 68 GTO that I will be replacing. Nothing wrong with it but I plan on a cross country trip this summer and if I have any issues I think I can find parts for the 9inch easier if I had a problem on the road. I am also looking to put some sticky slicks on the rear for the track days.

Opinions welcomed
Thanks Joe

Nice Option I believe. I know I've considered doing the same and very much for the same  reasons. I currently have a 8.2 posi Cone unit that I have a set of 3:23 gears for. I had a second backup set,but someone needed a set so I  sold the extras(3:23's in good shape hard to find and no longer available). I hope to put some driving on the car once complete and as you stated....easier to get parts and do repair on the 9" if need be. Plus the option of gears as my 8.2 can only handle the 3:23 as  max option. I hope you draw input of the rear brake option as well. On your prop valve....I'm planning to use the wildwood adjustable. Anxious to know how you like it if you do the change. I'm tempted to sell my 10" 8.2 setup just to get the 9inch!

Joe's Tech Support Here with more pictures from Joe.....he went to Inline Tube yesterday and they could NOT help him. However, he found a shop nearby that could. It cost him $95 a cable but he now has functional emergency brake cables for his 9-inch.

Well at least when Joe gets to the end of a run he’s got backup!

Why does that sounds like "someone to push"?

Notallthere was obsessed with Joe's rear end.  Must have made Frosty mad last night....woke up to snow on the ground this AM.

Notallthere kept looking at his wife saying "Yeah but Joe's rear end is nine inches". She kept on saying back to him, "Yeah, uh huh, I know this routine. You're cute but the answer is still no."

Somehow "cute" and Notallthere don't belong in the same sentence, in my book, anyway.

Got a text update from Joe last night. The axles are now in - it was an ID-10-T error.

Something about a small retainer that has to goes inside the new disc caliper brackets.....

I've been promised pictures.
